Ok so for the first time in ages OH and I had a bit of "fun" ;) After I got up I felt something coming out! Obviously I expect a little of OH's you know what but it was a tiny bit of stringy clear with blood streak in it then as I walked to the bathroom I felt another load coming out and had to catch it! :puke: Disgusting I know sorry ladies but I feel comfortable telling you all on here lol Anyhow it was quite a bit and another two lots came out like that. It is quite dark reddish-brown and very thick. I'm not in bad pain at all, I've had very very mild period type pains in my lower back on and off but nothing I've worried or taken notice of really. Baby is moving fine etc.

I've been on the phone to assessment unit and they have advised to keep feet up for a few hours and see if continues or not and if continues then to go in for a check. So am keeping an eye on it, I do feel a bit stingy/sensitive inside down there now but pretty mild tbh and I am still spotting but has slowed right down.

Anyone else have this or any suggestions to what it is other than being sensitive down there and maybe had a bit too much "fun"?? Could I have lost some of my plug?? I'm only worried because I do feel it was quite a bit that came out! :S

Sorry again for the gory details!

I'm no expert but it does sound like a little bit of plug!
I heard that if you don't lose it all it patches itself back up again anyway!
So if you don't lose any more you should be fine!

When me & hubby dtd for the first time in ages, it made me start getting contractions! Only mild ones which stopped but it scared me haha! x

I would say its your plug hun.
Good that youve called your assessment unit.
As they say, put your feet up for a bit and see what happens.
If you're still concerned, go in and get them to check you over.
But remember, even if it is your plug, labour could still be weeks away x

Thanks ladies, good to know if it is plug or part of it labour could still be weeks away :) I'm hoping to make it another 3-4 weeks before this little one makes an appearance!!
xx

Ok so the assessment unit just called me back...they want me to come in because I am blood type A - they want me to have a quick check over and have the Anti-D injection again :S
Reassuring though that they have called me back so promptly and will get to have a thorough check whilst there :)
xx

At least they're being cautious!
I didn't know they did anti d for a- i thought it was just us o-'s! x

It sounds like your plug hun, but I've heard that it doesn't mean labour is going to start. And it can also grow back. Kjust have a good rest now xx

So am finally home from the hospital. Had a urine sample first of all, had a slight show of protein in it which turned out not to be me from from OH's little guys lol
Was put on the monitor for a good half hour and bubba was so so active, I think the Midwife was surprised at how active she was all the way through! But of course good signs. Had bloods taken and get results in 2 days but I imagine they will be fine or same as last lot (and need to continue taking my iron tablets) and also had an examination to check cervix. All fine and cervix long and closed as it should be. No mention of the plug at all but they said they could see a slight abrasion which was probably coursed during intercourse due to being so sensitive down there anyways and that is where the bleeding was coming from so just to rest up, take it easy and well no more of the business for us! lol

I then had a dose of the Anti - D just so I'm covered and that was that. Midwife and Dr really nice, felt well looked after and was lovely to get to listen to baby for a while and very amusing when she had hiccoughs! :)

So all good news anyhow and nothing to worry about :)
xx
