My baby is awake all night and sleeps during the day time. I try to wiggle and poke to wake him up but he's very stubborn.

Is it the same for You? How do you wake up the baby in tummy?

Normally a hit of sugar and lying on my left side! Try coke, lucozade, chocolate. Maybe some upbeat music or talking to bump as well x

This baby has been super active tonight.. like hyperactive. I do the lying down thing too. Normally works. Do you hav anterior placenta? My baby was kicking and moving on my last scan but I couldn't feel it at all because of its position.

Same here... awake for small periods throughout the day, but most of the night my belly is all over the place. Very distracting!

Food doesnt work at all. Shows he's definitely my child. Maybe he's so overloaded with food that its made him lazy lol

Music definitely gets him moving. especially christmas songs

I am so ignorant, I have no idea if I have anterior placenta or not and nobody has mentioned it to me either. I dont think I do?

Shame theres no more scans, as he doesnt seem as active as I thought he would be.

You dont have anymore scans do you?

Ive been told that this routine doesnt change after birth so we are essentially screwed

My baby was always super active at bedtime around 9-11, which was difficult when trying to sleep! Lol but he's not like that now he's born, in fact 9-10 is the time he settles for his big stretch of sleep (4 hours at 3 weeks old)

You feel more at night because you're settling down, you notice movements more as your mind isn't focussed on your day to day activities and also during the day the movement of you walking around / doing things rocks baby to sleep as it's soothing. X

Also I had anterior placenta and didn't feel 'less' movement than I did with my first (posterior placenta) I just felt it in different places.

Another one with a night time baby.

Although with me I'm not sure if it's because I'm so busy / distracted during the day that I only really notice baby when I'm I'm bed (only bloody time I'm not doing something for someone else!)

Hate days when I realise I've not felt her for ages. And with Gestational Diabetes I can't do the usual sweet thing / fizzy drink tricks to waken her. A good old prod usually does the trick though.

X

It will be written in your scan report in your notes. Will either say posterior or anterior.

Yes I have another scan on 8th December - and then 5th January. This is the most scanned baby in the world!
