Think I found my cervix

Decided to try find my cervix earlier on today.

I think I may have found it.. it had what I can only describe as a slit and felt quite firm..

Does this sound about right?

Does the slit mean that my cervix is open?

Yeah sounds like you've got it. If it feels like a slit I would say it is closed although it can be quite hard to tell sometimes. I have had times when I have had a very prominent hole, perhaps the size of a pencil rubber which should obviously be around the time of ov. I think that it's quite obvious when it's open and not at all when it's not or in-between. Other people might find it different and I know it can be slightly open all of the time if you've had children before.
