Its the accent. If you listened to my family say the two words (Canadians) they sound totally different. The a in draw is said with 'ahhh' sound. Drawer is more 'or' sounding.

However in an English accent they sound similar. Both 'or' sounds. Therefore understand why people get confused but they are still totally different spelling! Lol.

I've actually just said it my scottish accent and its 'draw a picture' or 'its in the draw-re' difficult to type how it said but you get the jist lol. My southern English accent is said the same as draw
