OMG

actually i was watching one of those home birth programs on living the other day and it was this womans second child and she let her first child watch the labour and delivery and they said to the little girl what do you remember about you brother being born and she said lots of blood and poo!! :rotfl:

 Think I'll be keeping my legs crossed as long as possible :rotfl:

when i was in early labour i purposely went to loo to clear myself out  :rotfl:

.....I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster and I can't get off - the barriers come down - the very reason I don't like rollercoasters! There's no turning back!

Can we think nice flowery things and pretend these horrible things don;t happen to us

I do take comfort that some of you have done it more than once.....so it can't really be that bad.....can it?! :rotfl:

yeah afraid so but i think the midwifes will be used to this now, somehow i think that will be the last thing on my mind at the time im giving birth.has it happened to any ladies on here ??

OK mum's to be!
:rotfl: stop ! it's ok  you are right  it isn't that bad as i have given birth twice before, lost one Twin and one angel Now pregnant with all this to do again. so it isn't that bad...
1st of all.. most MW are helpful, talking you through stages.. with birthing partner helping too.
2nd If you do poo, you don't know it. your mind is on the baby, And the MW isn't going to say anything...infact they quickly clean it away to prevent infections...so don't worry about that.
Lastly, these are things that might happen that you have not to worry about as they pass quickly and are completely normal. :D
There is a wee saying " leave your dignity at the door and collect it again on the way out...... very true! :rotfl:
Oh BTW my 1st was born in just 27 minutes with no pain relief or stitches, 3 pushes and born...easy! next was a wee bit longer. :)
so chill mums.. it's worth it and you do forget as soon as you look at your bundle.

Think we have just invented fool proof 100% successful birth control.........put women off by making them read about the things no one tells you! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Think I need to invest in one of those zappers they use in Men In Black to wipe my memory afterwards of all the bad things :rotfl:

yes i was never told about the piles or being afraid to go to the loo for the first time after the birth, and how attractive my stmach would look the day after giving birth

LOL - it's not just going for a poo either - going for a wee burned like hell - I had to wee in the bath holding the shower head against me for the first two days!!

And yes - the swelling - OMG I didn't think it was me!!

Also, you feel as if your uterus is falling out!!

But as you say it all disappears within days and you're left with your precious baby and it's sooooo worth it!

LBxx
I had the painful weeing for 2weeks after! Was horrible! And the pressure feeling down there for 3weeks! :(
DONT want that again!!
They do gel thingys for inside ur underwear that soothes u (reusable) in mothercare. I found out about them AFTER i had all that sh!te!
Will defo invest in some this time!

Great thread :rotfl:

Did anyone else have nightmares afterwards?

I did, both times, i wondered if it was something to do with the gas and air.

Oh, i was in the birthing room, first whiff of gas and air and i threw up all over the floor :D Memories lol

I can honestly say I've never had nightmares about labour/birth - though I did naturally have bad dreams about Maddie not waking up but I think that's normal for the first couple of weeks.

Gas & Air - I LOVED THE STUFF - was gutted when they took it away when I had to push!!!! And they should let you take a tank home for those 'toilet breaks' and as a substitute for wine whilst breastfeeding :rotfl:

I had a bit of an upset tummy and I CONSTANTLY pooed

You don't really care though, honest!

From what I remember it was all over in 5 mins, when a stork flew in the window and droped off my perfect smiling son into my lap. Sweet smelling flowers rained down from the sky and the birds and wild animals perched on the window ledge to see.

. . . . . I think they gave me some drugs?!?!
