does anyone know the effects of firstly being pregnant on your teeth and secondly why my dentist is so apposed to doing an extraction whilst im pregnant basically 2 weeks ago my tooth crumbled i have less than a 3rd of it left luckily it had been rootcanaled previously so no pain but it does wiff a bit but my dentist wants to leave it till after pregnancy does this sound right?

Pregnancy can really affect teeth and gums, not sure why but I've swapped my regular toothpaste and mouthwash for corsodyl. The dentist will not want to do extraction because he prob won't want to use anaesthetic whilst you're pregnant (I could be wrong but this is only reason I can think of!).

I know that if you dont consume enough calcium when you are pregnant then your teeth will compensate and it will leave them weak, same as your bones I think? Not sure about the extraction tho sorry :)
