Hi :-)

I have a sweep booked for Monday due to SPD. I'll be 38+1.

I'm aware that if ur body isn't ready then the sweep won't work, so looking for ideas to help me 'be ready' lol
I've been taking raspberry leaf tea and also EPO. I've been losing a lot of plug but I know that can grow back, but it's regularly. Also lose bowels and always needing a poo but not always actually going, but when I do its loose (few times a day tho).

Any advice will be appreciated :-D

Xx

Hello! I don't think you can force your body to be ready. Unfortunately not much will bring baby out until they are ready but the fact your plug is loose is a good sign. Id recommend to keep taking the EPO and insert it caginallybas it can soften the cervix in preparation for the sweep. Good luck!! X

I've been doing it vaginally recently will definitely keep it up.thank you x

Sorry I don't have any advise, but have been thinking of inserting epo. How do you find it? Did you ask midwife first? X

I read a lot on the net. Reviews and past experiences etc. it doesn't induce labour or bring contractions on, it only helps with effacement and prevents tearing.
So it can't do any harm, just helps prep ur body :-) I think that's why I've been loosing plug so much.
Worth a Google, there's loads, especially in America. I've not read one single bad thing about it.

I've been putting the capsules in over night with a pad on, just before bed. U can get a lot of leakage. Some people peirce them some don't, I personally don't as they dissolve anyway xx

Oh I don't know, might be brave enough to try tonight! Only read one bad bit about a lady saying she had an allergic reaction and it made her really sore and irritated.... What panicked me!! Also thought I might be embarrassed if I went into hospital having popped one up and they saw all the oil and I had to explain! Will have another think now you have said that... Thanks! Loads of luck for Monday, hope it works quickly for you xx

U could always test one on ur skin if ur worried about allergies. I take orally Aswell as vaginally.
How many weeks are u?
xx
