sure start maternity grant

Hello, not sure if anyone can help?
I have just heared about the maternity grant, at the moment i work full time but after LO arrives i'm thinking of cutting down my hours. Do you think i will be entitled to it as my husband works full time?

I got it hun, and we both work. You have to do it within the first 3 months after baby is born though, so get it sent off asap. Its always worth applying, the worse that can happen is they say no but you wont know if you dont ask!!

FWIW though, I didnt get it with my first baby, only the second Depends on loads of stuff like what benefits you receive and the rate of tax credits you are awarded, so I certainly wouldnt rely on it but theres no harm in applying x
