sure start maternity grant

im sure this has probley been asked lots of times, anyway here i go
My OH works and earns £16000 a year
I dont work but we also get CTC which we get £162 per week for 4 children
Im just wondering if anyone knows if thats the higher rate or not as i want to apply this time for the sure start maternity grant and not sure if i qulify?

yes your well above the family element so you will be entitiled to it. i get 122 a week and have been told by them to apply as im entitled.

This is what is says on the online application you can print out from the website...
From april 2007 - april 2008 This means a rate of £546 a year or more, or £1091 a year of more if you have a child under one. Your tax credits award notice will include a breakdown of your award.

Looking at that you should qualify from what you said...hope that helps
