Starting Our Assisted Journey

Hope it goes well and you get lots of eggs! I expect you've been on a high dose of meds to ensure that you have plenty! Its amazing that you are sharing them with someone. We might have to do that if IVF keeps failling.

Thought it might be helpful to tell you that egg collection was nowhere near as scary as I'd imagined it would be. I thought it would hurt where the needle went in but it was just uncomfortable in the general tummy and ovary area afterwards.

Good luck!

So just a quick update......5 eggs unfortunately not enough to egg share (you need 8 or over) so extremely gutted for recipient. However the 5 were all mature and suitable for injecting so our journey still ongoing xxx

That's a shame. At my clinic if you get less than 8 you have to give them all to the recipient or you have to pay your IVF costs!
Good luck for the next stage.

That seems to be the way it used to work at the clinic I was at but they changed policy and now if under 8 eggs collected you keep all your eggs with no additional cost. So four of my five went to full GRADE AA Blasto's!! One put back and three frozen so I'm officially PUPO!!!! xxx

That's great, lots of luck to you xx

That's an amazing result! Sounds really promising, much better than mine!

Hi, just thought I would see how are you getting in your 2ww? When is your test date? xx
