Hiya girls

Im sorry if I have come in here too early but just wanted to ask you a question....

bit of background info/introduction for you first....i came off the pill in july and started ttc and have had extremely irregular cycles ever since (37; 36; 81; 23; and currently on cd 60)
Have been to the gp a couple of times and the last one i saw has referred me to a gaenacologist and for a scan (waiting to get the appts thro the post) but he said it could be PCOS, but if not that i still need to be given medication for my irregular cycles...so it looks like i may be joining this part of the forum

He also sent my dh for a sperm test which we did last week.....
we are hopefully going to get the results of DH's sperm test today and i was just wondering if any of you knew what the results SHOULD be for them to be normal? and if they come back not normal if it means we are still in with a chance (if theres medication he can take etc)?

Haven't got an answer for you but didn't want to read and run!
We are currently waiting on OH results so will be interested to see what other people reply to you!!
It is definately worth joining this part of the forum as all the girls are full of so much helpful information!

I didnt want to join just incase im not eligible yet IYKWIM (sounds silly probably)...as i know there are girls on this part who have probbaly been trying a long time and/or having treatment...and im neither really at the moment (im in a kind of limbo) so wasnt sure

been ttc almost 8 months now...but still only on cycle 5 due to irregular cycles....think dr suggested i may needto go on clomid to sort my cycles out but will have to wait until my appt to find out

Awww don't be silly...I think it is definately worth you joining!!
We have been TTC now for over a year and are undergoing various tests....who would have thought TTC would be such a challenge!! Some women make it look so easy!!
Fingers crossed your OH results will return 'normal' and clomid will sort your cycles out. I have been really fortunate with my cycles...I came off the pill and had regular cycles immediately so I can't imagine how frustrating it must be with such irregular cycles.
Keep us updated and as I said before, all the girls on here are a wealth of information!!

its like joining a new school joining a new part of the forum "will i be accepted" "will they like me" etc etc

yeh i could deal with ttc if i had regular cycles but with them being this way i cant predict when im ovulating etc as its varied from cd 10 to cd 70 odd....nightmare

Hi bellarina, I post mostly in here now as on clomid and having other issues. There's no joining requirement! If u feel u r at this stage come in. U will find more detailed questions anwered and more technical stuff as well as less of the repeated questions u will find in TTC.

When u get the SA results post the numbers in here and we can help u analyse them. Ooh god that makes me sound like some sort of sperm expert! Ha not really just have experience as hubby has been for 2 now. X

Well dh rang drs and receptionist said all it said on her system was normal...no figures which im a bit disappointed with as wanted to know...but obv its a good result...im a bit in limbo tho as i know now tge prob lies with me

My cousin had PCOS, irregular cycles etc. She was put on Clomid and 2 months later pregnant with her first so everything is possible. I have just come out of the testing phase of TTC so don't worry to much that thru have just said normal!! Normal is good and one less thing to worry about.

My hubby goes for his sa next tues so think we can all support each other . I'm on cycle 36 so bit more in then u both.
