So what have you left to do?

Now I've sat down I think my legs are dying  I must have walked miles today, my brother kept abandoning me and made me walk from shop to shop  But at least I didn't have to park anywhere :yay:

Done middle guest room.

Back guest room to go (but if the dogs hadn't jumped and slobbered all over my clean white duvet cover, it'd be done by now...b....trds did that on purpose )

ANd then the rest of the house...stupid fairy lights on the xmas tree have just blown (TEEEEERIFIC!) so have had to sort that too.

Husband thing is keeping out of my way unless instructed otherwise. He just doesn't clena like I do (and he's just said to that "tell them how much cleaning and tidying you seem to manage from sitting in front of your pute..." CHEEKY GIT!)

:rotfl: sounds like my hubby although tbh i have a stack full of dishes to do in the kitchen soooo DH prob not being so cheeky lol but then again - whats wrong with him doing them lol! x x x

Progress? Maybe. Guest room actually looks rather presentable , if I do say so myself. I'll congratulate myself with a half-hour sit-down! (Only kidding, I do have a lot to do!)

well done ladies
AFM cake iced (I had a moment and made far too much icing cos I forgot I wanted 1lb not 1kg of icing sugar... I cannot pysically put any more on it )

just the cleaning to do tomorrow :)

Have oven prided my oven :D

3 more loads of washing done :D

Tomorrows list:

Clean the house...again
coo over the 2 puppies that my oh has bought the girls :yay:
Make mince pies
Cook the roast beef, gammon and turkey
Make the stuffing
Make the trifle
Prepare the veg

Plan to be finished the most of it by early evening but it will depend how long it takes my hubby to come out of town, he has a tendency on xmas eve to have a little shopping spree. He buys the kids a pressie and they get it tomorrow evening :)

Teeny bit of excitement waved over me then and no dread at all :yay:

OMG I'm so glad I did my food shop yesterday... am close to being snowed in (almost!) ,

ok, need ideas on what to do with left over icing the I cannot have???

Left over icing - if it's fondant icing (which I'm assuming it is) then you can roll it into little balls and make microwave meringues! Handy for crunching up over ice-cream or throwing together a pavlova if you make them big enough...

Just roll the icing into about the size of a golf ball (or smaller as that's actually quite big) put it on greaseproof paper and then whack it on the highest setting in your microwave for about 15 seconds.

You may have to adjust the above for your microwave, but you'll get light and airy meringues, not chewy ones, which are perfect for a quick pavlova (and you'll be able to eat the icing, then, as the eggs are cooked  )

Fairy cakes Rowesb and using the icing for on top?

Glad to see it's all coming together for everyone :yay:

Thinking of you today toffeepop, hope you get all sorted and join us tonight while you're blotto

I have my gammon in my lovely slow cooker :D having some coffee to wake up then its time to get started on my list

Oh meant to say Oh has left to do his jobs, collect the turkey, deliver pressies and buy the kids something so it's all good

I'm just cramming some much-needed caffeine into my system (cannot function without at least half the filter pot...) Hubby's off to find a grate for our newly swept fireplace in the front room so we can have the fire burning tonight and onwards through Crimbo, and then a few bits of tidying and then that sodding laundry...

Can't wait to start cooking. :yay:

(Hubby's present is a doozy to find...oops!)

 I love your procrastination toffepop

I always get there in the end..and I find waking up traumatic at the best of times
