i want to get out of the house this weekend and spend some quality time with my OH. but with no money and not very nice weather im wondering what we can do.

what do you do when you have no money but still want to go out and enjoy yourselves?

We throw the bikes and Isaac's trailer buggy on the back of the camper van and drive to Hyde park for a nice cycle round, then we have a cup of tea and a muffin and come home!

go for a walk (even if the weather isn't great - you just need the right clothes :D)

go to an art exhibition/museum

invite ourselves round to friends (or get them round to ours) then play games like poker (for pennies, rather than pounds)

simply go for a drive - to the seaside or into the country - and picnic in the car, with possibly a drink in a nice country pub on the way home (open fire and an oj :))

hit edinburgh and visit a free museum, catch up with mates, spend the day in bed vegging out. Go for a walk on the beach/take the kites.

We alwasy go visit the kids grandparents, go to the park with them both and when its bed tome we get them o bed as quick as and spend the evening curled up on the sofa watching a cracking DVD then hopefully some nookie

go for a nice long walk in richmond park or wimbledon common then go home and snuggle up in bed and listen to music or watch a dvd. :)

Depending on your area, are there any nice parks to go wander round? Take some corn to feed the birds (not bread for ducks as its not good for them), walk along a river somewhere. Take a thermos with some soup and a couple of crusty rolls for lunch, wrap up and make the most of it.

Also go check out some local rugby or football matches? You know the ones, small clubs, local town ones who either don't charge to go watch a game or if they do its only a small fee. Again take a thermos for hot coffee or something and have an afternoon out there. Most clubs have a stand of some sort to avoid the worst of the weather.

Also any art fairs and so on in the area, usually free entry, so you can wander round and peek.

Have a look in the local paper for whats on this weekend also. Usually loads of things happening if you read the ads. Some might require a small fee on entry, but usually nothing to break the bank.

Rifle down the back of the sofa for loose coins :D

Seriously on those weekends (like, EVERY weekend  ) I spend it sorting crap out, as living in a disorganised heap costs me money!

It's a lovely weekend for starting to sort the garden out

Hi

We go cycling around the lanes or gt the wellies on and go for a walk in the woods, the muddier the better!!

:D

i love taking picture. If you've got a camera or maybe you could borrow one if not, take it out somewhere rural or urban really doesnt matter. If its cold, take a flask and food and warm clothes or if rainy, head indoors to museums/galleries.

I usually get so carried away taking lots and lots of pictures that the afternoons fly by.

Hope you have a fun one honey x
