So apparently I have a unicornuate uterus!

Hi ladies, got results of hsg yesterday and turns out I have a rare thing known as unicornuate uterus! Anyone have this? It basically means I have half a uterus! Marvellous hey I've Been put on clomid 50mg so fingers crossed I still have a chance! Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with this? Xxx

I have this too! I've known for a few years now. I'm currently doing my 1st round of IVF. I've been told that carrying one baby will be like carrying twins but ill be monitored very closely to make sure bubs is safe. Hope your ok xxx

Hi jemjem nice to know I'm not alone on here I've had af pains for 6 days now so think af is around the corner I can't wait as I'm starting clomid on day2. Did you have clomid before ivf? Xx

I didn't this time around. I was married in 2000 and was on Clomid then. I took it for 18 months and nothing! This time we were referred for IVF straight away as we have male factors too.
I hope the Clomid goes well and you get your BFP soon xxx

I'm only on it for 3 months so got everything crossed! Do you have 2 kidneys? I'm going for a scan soon to check if I have or not xx

Only one kidney. I've never had any uti's or any problems with my kidney which the doctors were surprised at!! I have everything crossed that the Clomid works xxx

I've suffered with uti's as long as I can remember! I normally suffer bad after I've drank alcohol. Must all be related to this unicornuate uterus. Dr said today that it won't make a difference if I have 1 or 2 kidneys but I told him I'd like to find out anyway.

I'm an emotional wreck tonight, so hormonal! Did u have any side effects off the clomid? I'm looking forward to starting but hoping I don't have any side effects xx

I was horid on it! Emotional and really moody. I also had really bad flushes! It will be worth it though if it works . I'm on buserelin now and can't stop crying! This is my third week and for a full week I've cried lol.
Did the dr tell you that you'll be we'll looked after because of your uterus? I was told I'd be 'babied' throughout with extra scans and I'd be book in for a section at 37 weeks if not sooner! Xxx

Yeah they have said they are gonna monitor my pregnancy from day 1 which is a comfort to know.

How many try's of ivf do you get? They have not talked much about that to me yet. Xx

I get 3 on the NHS. Hoping that it doesn't come to the third though. It all depends where you live. I'm sure you can google it . Xxx

Yeah i think it should be the same for everyone! My friend is having to pay for her's because she's using donor sperm. It's cost her over 12 thousand for 2 rounds! It's bliddy crazy! When are you at the hosp next? Xxx

My next appointment is July, if I'm not pregnant by then they will put me on the ivf list. He said it will take about 3 months so ill continue on clomid while I wait. 1st day tomorrow on my clomid. Not sure when's best to take it, morning or night? Not looking forward to hot flushes!! Xx

I took it on a morning but on a night will reduce the side effects coz you'll be sleeping . Just remember to take it at the same time everyday. Xxx

It was mainly mood swings and hot flushes. I remember I first took it on honeymoon and for the first week I was a wreck! He couldn't look at me without me shouting at him xxx
