Slightly Concerned

At my check up last week, the doctor asked me to go back again this week for another check up.

Im really worried that I have or am developing pre-eclampsia

My ankles keep ballooning, my hands have also started to do this now too, I keep getting pains on my right at the bottom of my ribs (front and back), I've been feeling pretty unwell the last 3 days, just not myself but nothing I can really put my finger on... and a few times since my last appointment, I've had white dots floating infront of my eyes, only for a few seconds each time and not every day but Im worried

My mum suffered with pre-eclampsia much earlier along than I am now (with my brother and me), and she was admitted in to hospital, which I really dont want.

Sorry girls, Im just feeling a bit nervous and my parents are away on holiday and OH is having a nightmare of a week at work so didn't really have anywhere else to vent!

i had it with my dd and have already been tested once this pregnancy my advice ring your midwife or labour ward now your showing alot of symptoms and you need checking out asap if they dont help just go to a+e but see someone today hun it dangerous if it is that xxxx

Sorry, I forgot to mention, my check up is today. Stupid pregnancy brain!!! Got an appointment at 6 with the GP

Thanks girls.

When I went last week, she noticed that I'd put on loads of weight (17kg) since my booking in appointment, although I know its not gone on anywhere other than bump and a little bit round my hips but nothing major. There was also something in my urine but it wasnt protein (cant remember what it was though) and she seemed concerned that my ankles were swollen and bump was sore when she pushed on him.

Since then, the other symptoms have come on, but we shall see what happens later!

was it ketones in your urine?? I had this the other day but mw put it down to me not having had breakfast before I'd done the sample.

hope the appt goes well thought hun and deffo tell them everything that's been happening, don't want to take any risks with this.

i was gonna say the same as the girls. Go get it checked. When i thought i had it i rang labour ward and they told me to come up straight away. Best to get it checked. Fingers crossed hun. Big hugs x

hi girls. just got out and she said bp is down, ive lost some weight since last week but sugar levels are up at 8.5. she was going to send me up to labour ward then decided she'd rather i went up to day asses unit in the morning for a fasting blood test. if its not one thing its another!

Hi girls,

So, I tried to call the day asses unit this morning but no answer, so I decided to go up there because when i've been for blood tests before you just go there and they do them...anyway, I get there and they asked if I'd drunk 400ml of lucozade which I hadnt, my doctor hadnt mentioned anything about it!!!! They asked me to go back tomorrow and my damn hormones got the better of me and I burst into tears! I cant afford to get taxis there and back two days in a row..

They agreed that if I went to the cafe and bought some lucozade, I could hang around for 2 hours and then they'd do the test! So, I waited! Now just waiting for the results! xx
