so hope you are ok hun xx Please let us know when you can xx

thank you all so much for all your kind thoughts xx

Thankfully LO is ok, and I'm not in labour! after ages at the hospital getting monitored and bloods, finally got a an internal, only to be informed my cervix is tightly shut, but there was blood getting past from somehwere... The midwife said she could feel tslight tightenings, but they weren't like normal contractions.

I eventually got a consultant to do an ultrasound, and apparently I have a low lying placenta :( and thats causing the bleeding..doctor thinks baby has moved in a funny way, sitting on a nerve or somewhere and its triggering fake like contractions and/or pain, and that because baby has moved into a new position suddenly i'm getting bleeding!
He also said it could be becuase my uterus is growing and the placenta is slowly moving up, irritating my cervix, triggering the pain and contractiony feelings and bleeding x

I was told at my 20 week scan my placenta was anterior and not low, but the scan today showed its partly covering my cervix!!

I am so glad baby is ok, and doctors monitored the bleeding for an hour or so, and when they were happy I wasn't contracting and the bleeding wasn't too heavy they let me come home..

I've got a sick line for work and I'm on bed rest for a 2 weeks, when I have to go back for another scan, to chekc bleeding, baby and see if hte placenta has moved at all.

I'm so relieved that baby is ok, I swear I thought I was in labour with the pains I was getting, and then with blood

I'm still getting them on and off now, but when I lie on my side they aren't so bad and def not as regular...

Hopefully in 2 weeks time it'll have moved a little, and then I'll get scanned every 2 weeks until either it moves, or they are certain it's not going to, and they'll have to talk about other delivery options ie C section.

Thankyou so much everyone.. I really appreciate all your kind words and thoughts and prayers! It really means a lot, and helps so much when I'm feeling worried/scared xx x

I;m under strict instructions though, if bleeding gets even a little heavier i have to go straight back in x

I;m also not allowed to play my flugel until either it moves up, or after bubba is here - but its a small price to pay, im just so thankful baby is ok xx

Thank god! So glad they gave you a thorough check up and sent you home.
Have a well-earned rest over the next 2 weeks!!

I am so relieved, I think amandapanda had similar experience with the placenta and everything is ok. I have low lying anterior placenta as well.

So glad that you and the baby are going to be ok, get loads of rest, hugzzzzz
