Hi there! I came off the pill a couple of months ago and have had two cycles. Both with 9 days luteal phase. One day spotting and the other eight days bleeding. I have had the second cycle using 100mg Vitamin B and pre pregnancy vitamins Seven Seas. Anything else that can lengthen the luteal cycle? Can it take awhile for your body to adjust after the pill? Most importantly, any success stories of conceiving with a short luteal phase?

Sorry i meant 9dpo with one of those days spotting before AF comes!

Hi Apple. Yes, it can take up to six months for your cycle to properly regulate after the pill.

I took vitamin B complex, 1000mg of vitamin C (recommended is 750mg, you cannot go over 1000mg), 3-4 brazil nuts (for selenium, toxic in high doses so check your vitamins) after doing a lot off research to lengthen my LP. I also took vitex for 4 months - which can help regulate your cycle - but not a good idea to start soon after stopping the pill. You can read more (The Do's and Don'ts of Vitex for Period Problems). I waited 6 months before taking these supplements. Unfortunately, it didn't lengthen my LP at all, but it has worked for other people.

There have been women on this forum that conceived with a short LP :)

Good luck x
