Shooting pains

Hi,

I've been having some shooting pains... yesterday afternoon I had a few really faint ones going downwards from just left of my belly button. This afternoon I have had stronger ones on the right hand side - going into my groin. Their not like round ligament pain - I've had those a few times when standing up or turning over in bed. These pains are on and off whether I'm standing or sitting.

I've phoned the midwife and she thinks it's fine - just growing - and I've felt little one moving around today.

Just wondered if anyone had similar pains around this time...?

Hey hun...yeh it sounds perfectly normal. They are just growing pains...ur uterus is expanding and those are resulting in the shooting pains that u are getting. As soon as u get the shooting pains, just sit down and rest. I would rest it out and allow it to settle. Just keep an eye on it, any blood loss or if the pain gets so bad that u really cant handle it or is lasting a while, just contact the midwife. Atleast ur starting to feel the LO....very reasurring isnt it!!
