Yes.....1st scan tomorrow. How are you getting on? Is the waiting driving you crazy yet? Have you gone back to work?

Really worried in case nothing is happening as i'm on a lower dose. Had quite a lot of pain in my side or the 1st couple of days but now nothing.

Also the injections are getting more painful, i think my skin has toughened after going through this 3 times. Almost every one of them draws blood now For someone who hates needles its getting really difficult.....i'm a wimp

I'm sure you are responding even if at a slower rate than previosly, they can always up the dose if needed so don't worry

I am fluctuating between feeling positive and feeling like nothing is happening at the moment. keep hoping for implantation bleeding so I have something to pin my hopes on. still trying positive visulation and encouraging the embies to stick so it works

1st Follicle Scan

I had my 1st scan yesterday. I have 15 follicles on my right ovary and 10 on the left, they are all under 10mm. They are worried that they are not growing fast enough on the lower dose, so i am now back on 2 powders every night. I have another scan on Friday.

2nd Follicle Scan

Not much change since Wednesday. All but one of them are under 10mm still. I just dont understand it. I have over responded on both previous cycles and now this. The doctor couldn't decide whether to up my dose to 3 powders or to continue with 2. I am staying on 2 for now, re scan on monday and if there is still no change then they will either try the 3 powders for a couple of days or cancel

I'm really hoping i am just a bit behind because of the few days where i had to only take 1 powder, and the extra dosage hasn't fully got into my system yet. Hopefully now that i am on my normal dose everything will go back to normal.

I'm so scared its going to be cancelled though, the wait over the weekend is going to be horrible.

3rd Follicle Scan

Well.....The good news is its not being cancelled! The follicles have grown. But they are still smaller than they should be and there are only 5 above 10mm at the moment. There are about 10 tiny ones. I guess its still a decent number but a poor response compared to my 2 previous cycles, so i'm a little disappointed.

I am staying on 2 powders. The doctor said that as they have grown there is no need to increase my dose. Got to go back on wednesday for another scan. The doctor is hoping she can book me in for EC on Friday but i'm thinking that may be a little optimistic if they are as small as she says. We shall see. It would be great if it could be Friday as everything will be out of the way before we move.

4th Follicle Scan

EC is Friday!

I have mixed feelings about it though. I have 2 follicles at 18mm, 1 at 16mm, 1 at 15mm, 2 at 14mm, 2 at 13mm and 2 at 12mm. The rest are under 10mm still. I think i could do with another day or 2 of stims but as they dont do EC at the weekend its either Friday (too soon) or Monday, which would be too long. I dont know if i'm being paranoid, but i just feel like i am being rushed into EC to fit in with their schedule. I overhead the doctor mentioning to a nurse about my EC being Friday before she even scanned me! I'm really worried about how many eggs i'll get as i thought they needed to be above 18mm for the follicle to contain an egg. The 16, 15 and possibly the 14mm may reach 18mm by Friday, but the others just seem a bit too small.

This is our free NHS attempt and i really wanted to make the most of it. I was even hoping that they would let us try to get blastocysts, but i dont think we'll have enough eggs to do that now. I'm too scared to risk waiting for blastocysts on our self funded attempts just in case we dont have any embryos left to transfer.

Oh well, i guess i have just got to trust that they know best. I think i just needed to have a moan!!

So........EC is at 9am on Friday........wish me luck!!!!

Goodluck friday shell, and just remember its quality not quantity that counts. sounds like you have at least 6 follies that will contain eggs and that a good number I think.

Day Before Egg Collection

HCG injection done last night at 9pm so no going back now!!

I'm getting nervous about tomorrow and the GA. I hate the big needle in my hand

Please please let us get enough eggs so that we have 2 for transfer day I've never worried about this before as i've always known there was going to be plenty of eggs collected, so the chance of 2 surviving were great. But this time is stressful, its going to feel like the longest wait ever over the weekend after EC.

Chellie - I know. Most people only get this sort of amount anyway. Its just hard to get used to after what happened on the 2 previous cycles. I just really hope that it does mean better quality.
