sex after birth

well ive nearly stopped bleeding but waiting to go on the injection before things start hotting up in the bedroom department but was just wondering when the time is allowed to do it after birth cos obviously i dont want to do it straight away well my baby is 3 weeks old an im slowly recovering im not as sore but its going to be wierd knowin ive had stitches as ive had to be cut down below. will be wierd for the husband?
I wont be doing nething until im on the injection but wasnt sure wen i wud be ready to do it sorry its TMI and i also didnt no where to put this post lol.

I waited approx 2-3 weeks after havin my 1st,about the same wiv my second and a bit longer wiv my 3rd due to c section. I never had stitches,just a graze but my partner said things actually felt a bit tighter down there afterwards xx

i've completely lost my sex drive so not really thinking much about it.. consciously! but sub-consciously i'm having dreams about sex with OH (TMI!!) buttt the midwife said to me you're protected for 3 weeks exactly after birth then if you get say the pill/injection/implant on the last day of the 3rd week you will be protected straight away but if it is after the last day of the 3rd week then you have to wait 7 days until you can do anything. obviously in the meantime though you can use condoms!

anyway i'm like you in this situation i don't know when to do it. bit scared! i had a look *down below* in the mirror and it's dead scaarryy! i think i will wait until i stop weeing when i sneeze.. and obvs stop bleeding! xxxxx

Im just scared and paranoid about the sex bit and ive tried looking down there in the mirror but just cudnt do it incase it was a sight lol i got hubby to have a look but kept telling him not to touch im well worried incase it will hurt. Im going to wait until ive had 6 week check up from doc but waiting for the injection cos dont wana another pregnancy and it wud be way to early lol.
so it wud be around 6 weeks if ever had it but hubby getting frustrated im frustrated but im resisting this lol cos i is a gud girl ofcourse lol x

We first tried sex 2 weeks after I had lacey but found it quite uncomfitable so waited a couple of weeks after that. My friend had sex 3 days after giving birth!! I think she's mental but she said it was fine!

amyjayne, thats what the midwife told me too but when i seen the health visitor she said you're fine for 3 weeks usually! but then she did ask me if i was at risk for pregnancy. she was a bit dotty.. who knows!! lol xx

If you DTD before you're fully healed, and don't use a condom, surely getting his stuff in your cut will sting!!?

I waited a few months before i started doing anything, i was never really a sex person and had oly done it a couple times before i got pregnant anyway, but this time i think ill just be waiting till i feel comfortable and ready to, probably after i know my stitches are healed and im all back to normal x

wounded today as it looks like im still bleeding although hubbys really missed sex as i can tell lol.
but ive got to be good until i get on the injection which will be in about 4 weeks which by then i shud of stopped bleeding bit depressing now ive had the baby cos im bleeding lol no period for a whole 8 months an now 3 weeks lots of bleeding lol x

same here in my last few weeks. i don't know why they suggest sex to bring on labour we're too big and knackered for that at that point! xx
