I've seen lots of people say on here that there babies have there day time naps at set time it the day or there abouts,
How do uses manage that?
Herbie is always asleep for between 8-8:30pm
But depending on what time he wakes up on a morning depends on want time he has his naps sometimes he will only be up an hour and go back to sleep other times he won't go till after dinner but then have 2-3 hours
Why I ask is i am having to fit his meals in around his naps and sometimes it works out award like today he went at 11:30am and didn't wake till 2:30 so had to let him
Wake up a little and give him his dinner but it was a little late and now have to try and fit tea in any ideas??? Thanks

Oz has always been a napper, but over the last couple of months he's set his own nap times. We get up between 6-7 every morning and he then naps from 8-9 or 9.30, then awake for a bit and we go out, usually has a quick nap in his pram on way home about 12ish for about 15 mins. Then in the afternoon he usually naps for 2 hours 1-3 or 2-4 (not exactly to the hour tho).

He's done that routine himself. I don't let him nap after the afternoon nap though so it's better if he takes it 2-4 for example coz otherwise he likes to nap around 6ish and that means he'll be up til gone 9, so I if he does drift off I let him have 5/10 mins and sit him in his rocker so he wakes up. I feel mean but would rather he gets to sleep around 8pm.

Noa don't have set times but I know roughly when he will be tired n try to put him down his cot then. But its not set times xx

Thanks girls, I might try and keep him awake then on a evening as sometimes he go's about 6 and messes bedtime up.
Isabel I put him in his buggy, I am gunna try that tomorrow taking up to his cot when I think he tired and hopefully get him in a routine thanks girls

Hey,
We don't have times set in stone, but he does have his naps at a similar time each day, when hes looking tired i put him in his mosses basket (he sleeps in his cot at night) each nap lasts around 45minsxxxxxx

yeah i always just put madison down between 10 and 11 , generally if she wakes late shell sleep less so it evens out by lunch good luck xxx

I tried....for about 24 hours....to see if Paige would have set nap times but it wasnt happening. She can nap either twice a day or even 5 naps a day. I just go by her each day. The only thing I know if that she goes to bed at night at 7pm and will wake up between 6-7am. Everything else is up in the air :) I like it like that as well though. Gives us a bit more freedom.

Isla naps around 10, 1 and 4. She rubs her eyes and throws herself at me so straight to bed usually with no tears. It's helped her sleep at night and she's a much happier baby now x

That's exactly what Tegan does, just nap when she wants x

Charley naps when he wants (as you seen with the pic on fb) but it does tend to roughly be the same time every day x.

Ollie sleeps each morning on the school run 9-10am in the pram (although slightly out this week as Charlie is on half term) then again after lunch for an hour or two if not then around 2/3pm for a couple of hours...more or less go by when he is actually tired but majority of the time its around the same time each day so I just follow his lead.
Tonight he was shattered and fell asleep in my arms at 6pm, woke at 6.30pm so got him ready for bed and he was flat out after his bottle at 7.20pm.

Matthew generally had 2 naps in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. but always depends on what time he gets up and what we are doing, as he will always fall asleep if we go anywhere in the car.
XxX

Yea that's the only thing I dont like about it if it's set and you have to be somewhere, Herbie is the same I sometimes say 'oh he's had a sleepy day' then other he seems to of been on the go non stop lol thanks

We Herbie is up at 6am so I know he is going the want an early nap today, I think he prob dose sleep around about the same times each day when I think about it but I think the difference is how long he naps for. Like my sure he will have a good 2 hours this morning with getting up early but yesterday he had 15 mins at 11 am ooohhhh well think I will have to go with the flow hahha
But think I will try and not let him go late on, cos he seems to get a new lease of life

Donovan has decided to change his routine over the last two weeks so I'm struggling to fit in all his bottles and food. He sleeps through, used to be 7pm til 6am, stay in bed til 7.30ish with three 1 hour naps a day after each bottle now he sleeps from 6pm til 7am with bottle at half 7am and two 1 hour naps, 1 at 10am another at 1pm. By 5pm he is knackered though and I struggle to keep him up that last hour. Sometimes going to bed so early can be pain in the arse as now and again I need to be somewhere that time of day but am scared to go out because he will be screaming for bed at half five....
