Pointless post!

So last week one of my best friends tells me his gf is preg with their 2nd. Also he asks me and hubby to be godparents to their first. We say yes but explain our situation and how we are trying to lie low for a while - it was weird actually talking to people about it since we haven't done that before! Anyway it was hard hearing all about their pregnancy but my friend was very understanding. I think its very very difficult though for someone with kids who has never lost any to ever understand the pain firstly of losing babies and secondly of the possibility you may not have any.

So then the next day my hubby tells me one of his friends (I sort of know him) who got married the day after us last year is also expecting........great.

And then, like that's not enough, another friend announces several times (internet, text email etc) that she is also pregnant, and she is amazed at 'how fast everything happened'. Great!

That's about 8 (seriously) announcements in the last month or so.

By that point I felt a little meeved and hurt, and had a bad sunday night feeling very sorry for myself. I'm over it now. Honest..... My reasoning is that we only have about 3 more couple friends left to announce their pregnancies, so we are just assuming that EVERYONE else is pregnant, then it wont be a shock.

I'm hiding in the house forever until I am either pregnant or have declared myself infertile. Apart from on my holidays, though :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Sarah!

What a nightmare!!

Hope you're ok..:hugs:

Don't worry about being infertile, you can get preggers you just need to fix your uterus and you'll be ready to go and hopefully you'll get something like Clomid to hurry things along.

Not long now til your hol and then it's only a couple of weeks after that you have your op.

I always try and hide in the last bit of my 2WW as I'm more sensitive than usual about things like this.

xx

Aw Sarah

What a nightmare :(

I'm waiting for my SIL to announce her second  I know she has been trying since April and due to previous mcs that she had before having her first, i imagine that the first we'll hear about it is when she is 12 weeks...

It's just so much pressure to keep up.

The day she announces is the day i spend under the duvet.

Don't even worry about being infertile because you aren't

Where are you off on your hols?

Thanks girlies :D

Maybe - it sounds like there will be workmen with tools fixing my uterus!:). I haven't even thought about the bit after the op yet. I don't want to count down to it cos I KNOW I'll get af that week and have to wait another few months or something to have it done.

I feel a bit better about the whole thing now. Louise - we are going to Northern Italy for a bit of a tour around, can't wait. Know what you mean about the announcements, I hate getting messages or texts from people I know just in case its another one!

Yeah one of my friends has just announced she's been for her scan and is due jan 2012. They weren't even trying, she had stopped taking pill to change to diff type of pill and obv just got lucky in that small window of opportunity. I am so jealous.

Mind you I wouldn't want to be in her shoes in some respects as they are still living with her parents, her oh is off long term sick from work and they are getting married feb 2012.
But I guess theres never an ideal time to have a baby. It's just me and oh have been preparing for years for baby ( house, decent jobs, "sensible-ish" cars) and still nothing.
