September 2017 Mummas Thread!

Sorry to add further encouragement misskth lol... but DH and I were the epitome of impatient and had our private gender scan at 16 + 5. Obviously if you're happy to wait then do!

Ha no, encouragement is good! I had to phone the Maternity Assessment Unit yesterday as I just didn't feel right. I was experiencing continual pain with sharp stabbing pains interspersed. I knew it was probably just the usual growing pains but still it worried me. The midwife said the same and recommended I take regular painkillers but said if I saw blood or the pain got worse to call again. Still can't help but worry, adding to my thoughts of going for a private scan to check all ok :/ I am a queen worrier sometimes!

I had my scan done yesterday. Babies are looking good. Can't wait to meet them! I'm also team blue! Twin boys! Very excited :D

Lol everyone seems to be having boys in August & September! Congratulations on team blue xx

Congratulations on happy scans ladies!

Misskth, that would be such a worry. I hope everything's ok and baby is just being a monkey!

Has everyone moved over to the fb group? It's very quiet in here

Thanks Kumber! Scan went well; all normal and he is growing nicely. I feel really reassured now as they were so thorough. Good to know that he is definitely still a boy too haha.

Misskth if you and your OH can afford it then I would go; it will no doubt give you some welcome reassurance. We had an early one at 10 weeks as we were feeling anxious and an early gender scan purely due to impatience lol... but both made me feel so much better. It does mean that I have no idea how I'll go this long without one now.... but there's still time to persuade my hubby on a 3D scan later on! Hehe.

Twin boys Steph! How exciting! :)

I made these to take to my family to tell them the gender today! We burst 4 balloons full of confetti that were 3ft wide each (!!!) and made a mess of their garden.

Anyone else doing anything similar?

Aw that's so lovely. With my little boy last year we did a gender reveal cake and the sponge was blue, my family all cheered when we pulled out the slice.

Not finding out this time but looking forward to wrapping them all up and handing them over to family for first cuddles, I'll let them guess!!
I want to buy a little blue or pink hat to put on to go home in :)

So happy to hear so many scans that have gone well. Excited and nervous for mine next Friday.
Hope everything's okay
Xx

I have only signed up today, we are due on 26th September and found out we are team pink on an early gender scan!

So excited but struggling with girl names!

Welcome xonkiba and congratulations on team pink!

What lovely reveals. I get my scan tomorrow but will be staying team yellow. Has anyone had a 3D scan in previous pregnancys ? My oh can't come to the scan tomorrow so thinking of having one at 28 weeks x

Good luck with scan tomorrow Elfs Mummy! Nope not had a 3D scan before, I'm no help unfortunately

I stayed team yellow:) I can't wait for my little surprise all measuring perfect with long legs !

Good luck tomorrow blueberrybaby!

So envious of you both staying team yellow, I wish I had the patience for it!

scan went perfectly..one lovely healthy cosy baby! Successfully stayed team yellow! Xx

Great news, phew for being able to stay team yellow!

Only thing is that I have an anterior placenta. It did cross my mind, as I have felt movement a little later and softer than I did with my little boy first time around.
I know it's perfectly normal and common, but as the placenta grows will this affect the pregnancy in anyway?
Xx
