Sometimes with gynae stuff like laps or with keyhole surgery they use air to visualise and that can sometimes cause shoulder ache afterwards so they may have done that ???

We've just done our first lot of stimms, so two injections, got myself a bit flustered, paranoid mixing the powders etc wish they were pre filled but hey ho xx

Thanks hun, my oh is doing a good job of looking after me - he made me a bed up on the sofa and has been waiting on me I didn't know that about the air but hopefully that's all it is, if it carried on tomorrow I'll mention it just to make sure.

I was lucky that my stims were gonal f which comes in a pre-filled pen so no mixing required. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it and be an expert in no time! xxx

Good news this morning - out of my 3 eggs 2 were mature and both have fertilized! The embryologist said there's a 90% chance of them progressing for another day and if so I'll have both put back on a day 2 transfer tomorrow xxx

Thanks hun, it's so nice to have ladies to talk to who are going through it as well! I'm still feeling bloated and sore today but the shoulder pain seems to have stopped and so has the bleeding so I'm getting there. I'm hoping I'll feel better tomorrow for transfer (the final hurdle - please God let this good luck continue..!) Xxx

Aw thanks! The transfer was absolutely fine - it's a bit like a smear and you can see the catheter on the ultrasound screen and the little embryos pop out. The doctor was really excited as he put them exactly where he wanted them - thought he was going to high 5 us lol. So surreal! My clinic also use embryo glue as standard so fx it works xxx

That's good that its so easy and straightforward. Its good that they do embryo glue as standard, I have just asked today to have that added on but we have to pay extra-think its worth a try if it could possibly help though. I take it you will be relaxing and taking it easy for the rest of the eve? xx

Yes, I'm just relaxing tonight as I'm still quite bloated from collection. Hopefully I'll feel a bit better tomorrow though so I'll go out for a bit of a walk. They advise to continue as normal after transfer, no recommendations re time off work. I'm off tomorrow though and will probably go back on Monday xxx

I'm at St Mary's in Manchester, it's NHS but it's also a research hospital and their research backs up the use of embryo glue so they now use it as routine xx
