Today is my 20 week Scan! I woke up early and had the feeling of christmas and birthdays. Hoping later we will be able to say he or she instead of just baby! I keep accidentally saying 'he', first thing I stumble onto I guess and then I think oh but what if it's a girl she'll not like me calling her 'he'.
I don't have a preference but a boy would be unique in my family as i'm one of 3 girls and my sister has had 2 girls! With a man mans as a dad, I learnt to drive on private land at 7, change a fuse and oil on a car! My dad would love a grandson i'm sure!
Most importantly fingers crossed baby is doing ok in there!!! xxx
UPDATE
Scan is done, baby was facing head down and sitting on knees (yoga childs pose near enough) and didn't really want to move that much, it did tickle it's chin which was cute to see the fingers doing something so grown up!
So wasn't sure if we'd be able to even see the sex of baby, but when she asked lets see if we can, she changed the angle so it was completely underneath the bum and thighs looking up. After a few good looks she said very definitely 'it's a GIRL!!!' There were no extra bits so I think she was right!!
So nice to know and now we can call her 'her and she', feels so much more real for me.
I do however have a fybroid on the wall of my uterus and so might have to go back and have follow up scan. She didn't seems worried, said it wasn't in place that will get in the way when babies on the way out. Babies checks were all good thankfully.
Thanks for the nice words ladies!! xxx
