Right this is REALLY embarassing but....

weve broken our bed having sex
The leg supports underneath snapped off & we ended up in a hole in the middle of the bed
Yes I know its funny but we are gutted now as its a metal frame & its only a month old!
Too embarassed to take it bk to the shop or complain as its fairly obvious why theyve snapped. We cant afford a new bed either!
Anyone know how we can make some new support legs for it? & how to attach them to a metal bed frame?

hahahahahahahaha! I'm sooooo sorry, this has made me chuckle on a rather miserable day in my house! um... afraid i've no idea really as to how you might be able to rectify the situation however, it is a bed. Bed stores do understand what they are used for other than ones sleep! So, although it may be embarassing, you should be entitled to a new replacement bed under guarantee. If you are too shy to go down to the store itself to explain, why not ring them? See what they say and see what your options are? x

Seriously though, ring the shop - you don't have to tell them you were doing the business at the time, just say you were in bed when it happened and they should replace it / fix it under the guarantee.

Hey, this made me laugh out loud as well! You could take the bed back and say that you were standing on it trying to change the light bulbs in the bedroom and with the weight of you and the baby the metal snapped....?????

id well take the bed back even with the roughest session it shouldnt break id ring tehm say you was in bed and complain like hell saying it could of hurt you or the baby id proper kick up a stink about it

Hahaha ummmmmmm well, think it was just pent up energy as been too ill to be bothered for ages lol.
Its not the actual legs the 4 legs around the edge are wood, its like a leather one but the inner frame is metal the spine running down the centre under the slats & it had 2 support legs,which just bent & then snapped off so yhe spine of the bed had nothing supporting it & it dipped right down in the centre
Im seeing the funny side a little more now, Ive just had to ring my nan to borrow a saw off my grandad for OH to make these support legs & my nan asked me what we were making!!!!!!!!!!!! jeez maybe no sex was a good idea after all!x

We did this to our bed a few years ago and i wasn;t even pregnant i ended up on the floor with metal headboard on hubby's head, it was a metal one, and it wasn;t old, but as we broke the bed before again having sex we did get alot of stick for it and that first one was wooden, I just dont think they make beds like they used to. I would complain if i was you and as someone else said you dont have to say what you were doing. Also my sons bunk beds broke on them last week and they are pine ones we have had them for a few years but even so they did climb up and down them instead of using the ladder but even so.

We just got some wooden blocks and place 2 underneath... just enough to support the bed!

Which way did u put the blocks? Weve got planks of wood which we were going to saw & place under vertically but I worry they'll slip as the spine is metal & they are wood?x

we cut them so they run along the frame for about 10cm. They basically look like extra legs....planks makes me think of a fence... and that wont support it. You need like cube blocks! just a couple in the middleish
