i need advice on this as its very very embarassing, so please dont judge me or my boy...
for the past couple of months jaden has been taking off/putting his hand in his nappy and smearing his poo everywhere :puke: he is doing it nearly everyday now, even when he wears vests he is doing it, i try putting two pairs of trousers on him but he just takes them off and then he is at it again  does anyone else's child do this or is it something i should be worried about? i feel like i have done everything i can do :wall: he even does it when we stay at a friends house :(
its really embarrassing having to explain to a disgusted friend why there is poo all over their childs travel cot!

Maybe it's a reaction to you having another baby... he could be acting up to get more attention although without knowing you, or him, or your situation I'm not going to say that's what it is for sure.

Have you spoken to your doctor, midwife or health visitor about it? They might be able to give you some advice or help you figure out why he's doing it.

I knew of a kid in a school my dad worked in years ago who did this - although he was older, 5 or 6 I think, and it was an attention thing with him because his mum had a new boyfriend.

I hate to say this but its perfectly normal and just a phase! a very disgusting phase but when my son was around the same age and older he did it too and it was ghastly, but also it their way of saying they want their nappys changed as well as we discovered.

Just see it through and tell him its yukky and im sure he will get over it at some point

Kai never has

He goes off to do his poo in private as he hates anyone seeing him to do and comes back and tugs his nappy. He doesn't even poo out, always when we are inside.

And I will start the potty training in a few weeks as we are going away, no point in doing it now as it will just disrupt him.

Firstly, its perfectly normal, and secondly, no-one is going to judge you or your son for him being interested in his body and its functions :) Because that's all it is, he is interested, he doesn't see poo as 'dirty, not to be touched', to him its something else squishy and new and very accessible for him, he's just interested and it will pass  I'm quite interested in my own poo as I have constipation issues and I'm 30, so I hope it's normal  Very best wishes

My nephew went through a stage of doing this to! youd be suprised how many people its happened to!not a nice thing to clear up tho!

Bray did this to, in the morning i used to find pooop everywhere  he soon stopped tho

my mum told me ALL kids do it at one time or another. She keeps telling me 'wait til one morning you get up and theres poo everywhere, in thier hair, all over the cot - THEN you know what motherhood is' :rotfl: :rotfl:

   its nothing to be embarressed about, and if your firend has children/babies shes either been there, or has it to come!

not looking forward tio it :(
