Really pissed off with hospital

Yep same here, hearing test, hips, etc all done within 24 hours of birth and red book given to me within hours! Sounds like you have had very bad service hun I'd take it up with the hospital when your feeling upto it apparently you have 21 years to complain about something to the nhs! (my midwife told me that)

What kg did they tell you he was? I know it's not the straightforward 2.2kg to lb conversion.

Our hospital won't let you leave without red book. Hearing test can be done after birth but you should of got an appt for it now. Hip test etc needs to be done by a paediatrician and signed off by one.

I thought they messed up joshs weights too but n the back of the red book it says they were right. But when I convert it myself, it doesn't match? Always thought his was odd.x

I thought the same. The converter I had said Henry was 9lb 3lz not 9lb 5oz but in the back of the book it was right. That's the conversion table they always use.

It's cos the converters do it to .3 of 10. If that makes sense
So for example 9.3 means about 9 and just under a third of a pound. There are 16oz in a pound and so a third of 16 is around 5. So that's how you get your 9lb 5

had exactly the same thing hun. I converted AJs and made it 6lb 2 instead of 6lb 5. The hv when I queried it made it 6lb 4!!!!

My Oh Had to convert Leandros weight on his phone as They didn't have anything to convert with. Also my red book was sent home. Hv didn't have it with her and She asked me if I got given it at hospital which I never xxx

I didn't get red book till first hv visit which was about 10ish days. G got her hearing etc done at mlu, but only by chance cos they had their clinc day after she was born, otherwise it woulda been after HV visit. Xxx
