If 50mg has cut your cycle down to 60 days, imagine what 100 could do for you hun, it might just do the trick. I've got everything crossed for you.

Hi nicky I'm so sorry to hear this. Shocked they don't offer any infertility treatment apart from clomid! That is really astounding. No wonder you're upset, I'm upset for you. As the girls have said can you maybe switch to a neighbouring pct? I have everythng crossed that the clomid gets your cycles back on track and you fall soon. Arrgghh big hugs nic xxxxxxx

That's shocking, I bet they have funding for a gastric band or sex changes! I'd write in to the PCT and kick off, you are entitled to what every other woman in the uk is entitled to regardless! I'm fuming for you!!! xxxx

Read up on the NICE guidelines or even do a freedom of information request for info on them refusing assisted conception or if they have actually slyly given it to other couples.

Thanks girls - have spent most of the day upset and in a world of my own!! The thing that got me was that he said if a private clinic referred me for ovarian drilling or a laparoscopy then he would be willing to do them for me. but it has to be the private clinic that refers me for it!

He was a really nice guy and i know its not his fault but i just wanted to punch him in the face! Also had a student doctor sitting in!! He said theres no point doing my day 21 bloods this cycle so he wants them doing next cycle instead. and im also not entitled to any follicle tracking scans!!

Feel let down to be honest - if your an alcoholic, drug dealing waste of space you get everything you need! But if your a nice couple that wouldnt hurt a fly you get jack shit!!

Been and spent £32 on a 20 pack of smilies Gonna go pee on one soon!

Yeah it sucks - my cheapies have been really good too!! We've just had a yummy takeaway and we've brought some dairy milk!! Gonna stuff our faces tonight and then full blown diet starts tomorrow. Only have 1 stone and a half left to lose so im determined!!!

Sorry you've had bad news in terms of IVF, there were only 4 PCT's in the uk not funding ivf and Stockport where I'm under was one of them and they resumed this April.

Massive fx you don't need it but if you do could you not move to a Leeds based surgery, I'm guessing you must have friends/family over in Leeds?

Nicky Ive just caught up on this and I am full on raging for you about this too! I just put a post yesterday about the whole unfairness of this potscode lottery! If you live in one area you can wait 24 months but in another its barely 4 weeks. I knew that some authorities seemed to do 2 (mine) cycles of IVF but ithers do 3 and I was raging about this but none! Thats mental. Makes me wonder if you push it what they will do. The NICe guidelines say 3 cycles if IVf. I truely hope you dont need it and that the 100mg work but what about maybe even going to citizens advice for legal advice!

Had a lot of support from my mum and OH today. Feel really sad tho because my mum is talking about using her inheritance shes getting from her cousins death to fund it. But her and dad had planned to do route 66 with that which is something they have dreamt about for so long!! I cant possibly take that money off her!

Mum mentioned to make an appointment with my gp and talk to him and see if he has any advice, OH said we will just move hospitals but we are not sure how easy that is. LGI is only 40 minutes from us so if possible we can transfer there!!

Its just so hurtful that they are so unwilling to help!!

I wondered how all the going to different neighbouring authorities work. Is it a case of changing your address or choosing a different hospital. It all kind of intruiging to me. If you find any answes hun let us know!

I'm glad you have a good support system around you hun. Like you say your GP may be able to help or get some info about nearby PCTs that do offer it. Keep pushing hun. There must be loads of other ladies in Harrogate in the same position, you should all get together and protest or something! I will come down and join in!

ps - takeaway and dairy milk sounds amazing, I've used all my checks on my diet today arrrgghh, can't stop thinking about food. It's a carrot stick with my cuppa instead of a cookie! lol

I've been trying to do loads of research all night but i cant find anything. I'm rubbisha t doing research anyway. i'm back again in 6 weeks so hopefully i'll have had my last 50mg by then so he can prescribe the 100mg! Im just gonna have to put so much hope into these last 4 cycles! x

It will be carrot sticks for me from tomorrow - woohooo cant wait!

Yeah me and mum had never really been able to talk about stuff until all of this! Took me a long time to be persuaded to tell her! So glad i did now cos shes been amazing! Think OH feels a bit lost to be honest but i know he'll be ok!
