Query for Baby Measuring Big

Dear All, hope you all are doing well..I had my 4d scan at 29 weeks but the sonographer said that the baby is measuring 31 weeks..Does any one know what it means..She said baby is long and might come early..I thought of asking you all in case any one has an idea of what it means

Is it really the case that the baby will come 2 weeks early..Also as baby was measuring higher in weight as per the 29 weeks I asked midwife if she can have my glucose test but she said that the urine test is sufficient for determining sugar levels and that has been fine..Does that mean baby is big bcz I am eating too much.. Please advice..Thanks...I am just thinking in case there is a chance then I should start thinking of packing my hospital bag..

I should imagine baby is going to be really healthy and chunky awe!! Hehe! I dot think it's how much you ate it's what the baby takes from you so chunky baby hehe!! Xx

My mum had two big babies and they said it was down to a very healthy placenta i was 10.1 and they said i was not going to be big so i dont think they really know tbh

At 28 weeks i was measuring ahead, my midwife said that they consider 3 weeks or 3 cm either side as normal. I had my 31 week check a couple of days ago and bubba has slowed down to where she should be. I had a growth spurt before my previous appointment my midwife thinks. So i wouldnt worry, am sure your bubba will slow down.

I was measuring 2 weeks ahead at 28 weeks then at 34 weeks I was behind!! Don't worry too much, the bigger the healthier!!

My little one measured two weeks ahead at the 21 week scan for his abdominal circumference and his head. I queried this at my consultant appointment at 29 weeks as I had another scan and his abdomen is still measuring ahead but couldnt get his head measurement cos he wouldnt keep still. Consultant said not to worry as the head measurement is sometimes out depending on the angle and the abdomen measurement is within the normal range and may just settle once he starts to put on more weight.
I have another growth scan at 36 weeks and have just tested positive on the diabeties GTT so will wait and see what happens growth/weight wise.

hiya, at my growth scans jacks measuring a week ahead, ive been told im going to have a big baby, my mw told me its good as they won't let me go past my due date, if i last that long x

i got told the same at my 28 week appt, measuring 2 weeks ahead, then at 3d scan at 30weeks measuring @ 32, now im nearly 33 im measuring again @ nearly 35,

the 3d scan mister said its because my baby has long legs, and at 30 weeks weighed 3lb 12oz, which is massive compaired to me, cos i was full term and only weighed 4lb 5oz, lol

estimations are that if baby is on due date (or within that week) will be 7lb 7oz give ur take a little bit,

i asked my M/W if it would mean i would meet baby early if im constantly measuring 2 weeks bigger than i am, and she sorta didnt say anything, but did say i probs wont be left too overdue, so really didnt help me, but tipical of my M/W, lol

everyone i know thinks it will come earlier than my due date tho, i hope so!!!

Exact same thing happened at my 3D scan, baby was measuring 32 weeks when I was only 30. Mw also said urine tests were fine to test sugar levels. I'm now 41 weeks and baby is measuring absolutely fine. I think they just have the odd growth spurt.

Thanks girls..you all really eased me down..I do hope to meet my bubba at 38 weeks but certainly dont want to go beyond 40 weeks..not sure how will it be to push big baby out.. I freaked out at my blood test appointment today so you can imagine..

Try not to worry, I always measured small for dates and usually have extra scans etc, but they were only right once outta three times! But I kept telling them, I'm long in the body and so measurements will be out, and makes a difference who is measuring them each time too. Even at two weeks ahead - that could only equate to another 1 lb weight max , so thats still nice and healthy

This time my consultant this time, said I was measuring for 20 weeks, at my 23 week appointment and said he was not worried, as people are all different, nice refreshing attitude actually

Hey, my baby was measuring at 36 weeks when i was 33 weeks... and i am HUGE if u look in the bump thread u will see my recently posted piccy lol! i look ready to drop but still have 4 weeks left till c section but technically 5 weeks left till actual due date. I've gotta see midwife monday, then she's going to see how baby is measuring and if baby still measuring a lot bigger she's going to contact my consultant and ask what he wants to do apparantly?!??? i'm a bit worried tbh xx
