Hi ,

I have done a clear blue digital text on the 18/8/18 .. 2 days before my expected period .. this came up positive displaying 1-2 weeks pregnant ! This morning I took a normal clear blue test (1 day before my expected period & the test is showing such a faint second line you can barely see it :( now I’m thinking I’m not pregnant !!! I did this test with my morning pee.
This morning when I had a pee I had a small amount of creamy, brown mucus come out :( sometimes I get this before I come on my period and I’m now sitting here with very faint cramps , I’m literally so upset and scared my period will come tomorrow ! (I’m always on time )

But I’m so confused why the first test was plain as day positive !!

My husband has been away for the weekend and my plan was to tell him in a cute way tonight that he is going to be a daddy but now I’m terrified that it’s all a dream !!

Anyone experienced this before ?

Please help I’m in bits :(

Have you consider doing another clearblue digital?

It's very rare to get a false positive, even more so on the clearblue digis as the hcg has to be fairly high for them to read it. So I would say you are indeed pregnant.

It is a possibility that the other line test was faulty.

Unfortunately, the down side to early testing is that you can discover a pregnancy that wasn't meant to last. It is common for women to have, what is known as a chemical pregnancy and not even know about it, unless they test early.

The brown cm, I get this too before my period. But it is alps common in early pregnancy. Sometimes women can have a little light spotting at around the same time AF would be due.

Your best bet is to wait to see what happens, hopefully AF will be a no show tomorrow. If so, do another clearblue digi or something like a first response test.

Best of luck to you xxx

Hello lovely. Firstly congratulations! Try not to worry, I would say you are pregnant with a positive digital as they're rarely false positive and I can see a line on the blue test. Don't be concerned there's a faint line it might be that one picked up the hcg in your urine better than another? Did you do both first thing in the morning? Your urine might have been more concentrated for one rather than the other. As for the brown blood I wouldn't worry too much just yet it could be anything, it is not uncommon to have a little bleeding here and there in pregnancy. I would only be concerned if it became heavier or brighter colour (brown is usually an indicator for old blood). Try not to worry, I would tell my OH now :) Good luck and let us know how you get on xxx

Thank you ladies , it doesn’t help my husband is away it’s making me worse worrying about it all !
I will tell him tonight anyway and just keep positive about the coming week !

The cramping this morning is getting stronger I feel numb , so that is concerning me a lot !

Yes both my tests were done with morning pee , I will go out and buy a digital one and maybe save it for the middle of the week to do

Thank you for the advice ! Never used these forums before but they seem amazing and full of strong , uplifting women helping each other :)

Just an update .. the clear blue text I did this morning has now lost the second line completely .. is this normal ?? Because the test has been left for a while ?

I'm hopeful for you hun and in all honesty it could go either way as baby.3 said there's a chance of chemical pregnancy. I would say tell your OH as if it's good news that's amazing but if it's not then you have his support which is so important. Got everything crossed for you x staying positive is good too :)

I'm not sure if the line disappearing is normal or not. But I'm beginning to think that test is faulty. In all honest most of the women in here avoid the normal clearblue tests like the plague as they are known to be faulty or give convincing evaporation lines. Most of the ladies will tell you to use pink dye tests like first response, I don't mind the morrisons own brand tests too.

Definitely tell your husband tonight. Hopefully, all will be well and you can celebrate together. If not, you have each other for support. Wishing you lots of luck for a sticky little bean xx

I'd get another pink dye test. Blue dyes are so unreliable and faulty, I've never even bought one. I'd say you are pregnant x

So I thought sod it .. I’ve just done the other clear blue test in the packet as I will be buying a digi later ... this is with my second pee of the day ... and another faint line has appeared so it’s picking up something clearly !

Erghhh us women have to go through so much worrying ! Haha

These tests have a pick dye when you pee on them ??

The clear blue show a blue line whereas the FRER and similar brands show a pink one and they tend to be more reliable not showing duff results. I always use FRER now after being on this forum and seeing how results can vary xx

The ordinary (non digital) clearblue tests you have done are positive it’s just that those blue dye tests are so rubbish it’s really hard to read the result, the lines always look faint on them unless it’s done a while after your period was due, I second what everyone else has said, get a test with pink dye not blue dye, like a first response early result one, or even Asda’s own brand are ok if you want to double check, but the digital will not be wrong so congratulations you are pregnant!!

Just been to buy a digi ... 4th pee of the day and well it’s still positive :) set up a message for my football mad hubby ! Fingers crossed we can celebrate once doctors confirm !

My first pregnancy & we have caught first time trying using an ovulation app ! Literally amazed please pray for me and hope that we can have this baby xxxx

Massivs congratulations
How lucky that you feel in the first cycle of trying x

The clear blue plus tests take forever to get dark, you need to be a week late for a dark line on them, so don't worry at all that it's faint. Congratulations :)
