Thanks to Emmylou's Argos link, I'm off to buy my 'pregnancy' ball today, and just thought I'd ask anyone who's got/using one, how often do you use it? What do you do on it Are there any websites that suggest 'exercises' for it? And can you draw a big smiley face on it
You can most certainly draw a big smiley face on it......but if you've got cream carpets I recommend you check the ink is permanent first
I sit on it to watch TV (bouncing occasionally ), I sit on it at the dining table when I'm working on laptop to make sure I've got the right posture, I also use it to lean against, so instead of being on all 4's I kneel in front and rest my arms on it (I have to use a cushion for my boobs so it doesn't hurt !)
They recommend that you use it to rock your hips during contractions.
Also, always make sure your knees are below your hips! Don't stay on it all day though or you'll get bum ache (I speak from experience)
We were told to do circles in both directions, bouncing, figures of eight and rocking your pelvis back and forth also was told to use a tin of beans or something and do some lifting, all while doing pelvic floor excersizes.
Oooh and one where you sit on it and lift a foot of the floor for a few seconds.

I have just started sitting on mine really with the odd bounce usually do it in an evening watching tv
