Hi everyone,

I have to have a colposcopy on Thursday due to an abnormal smear and I'm worried that if by chance I'm in the very early stages of pregnancy that this could make something go wrong. Does anyone know if this is safe?

Hope you're all well.

Love Jools xxxx

hope it goes ok hun i have had 3 and they r not that bad and i do know they r safe in pregnancy but i would mention it when you get there good luck

I am 90% sure it can be done safely, but sometimers they prefer to wait. Also, if you have had any treatment on your cervix, they are more likely to keep an eye on you when you are pregnant :)

Good luck babe, I'm sure it's nothing xx

If you think you are pregnant then tell them before they do it, they might do a test to check....
They didn't when i had mine in May last year, i did miscarry but it was cos of blighted ovum and was over 4 weeks later....

And from what i've found on the net theres no link between colposcopies and miscarriages
