Possibly pregnant after 1st try!

hi all!

i have 2 children already, a 13yr old son and a 10yr old daughter; as my career is in a good place right now my husband and i decided to have another baby . i ovulated on the 30 Oct, we did the baby dance at around midnight on 30th Oct - it's 5 days later now and i feel pregnant, i know that they say that there are normally no symptoms until implantation, i however remember how i felt when i was pregnant with my other two. i am soooo excited and nervous! havent had a baby in a decade!

i will take the pregnancy test next Friday 13th and update the results here! i am soooo excited!.

p.s. my symptoms are tender boobs, bigger boobs, hungry all the time (hunger that feels like you will be sick unless u eat instantly) and constant fatigue.

Thanks Tootsie; from as early as 2 days post ovulation got this feeling, not sure whether it's nausea but i would feel so hungry that i could throw up if i didnt eat something instantly (even something small) - i had this feeling with my other 2 pregnancies. Also breast got bigger and tender, fatigue kicked in within 4days too!.. also had to urinate more frequently, have alot of gas(so purping alot ) i had very very small implantation bleeding yesterday (the day my period was due); as i was 200% sure that i was pregnant it didnt worry me (even though google told me that implantation bleeding 13days PO is not possible).. took a clear blue test this morning and "pregnant" came up within 5 seconds! "2-3weeks" came up within 1 minute.

To everyone! don't give up hope! it will happen for you too!.. i pray that you all get your BFP this year. good luck!

Congratulations!

I have an 11yr old boy and (almost) 9yr old girl, they'll be 12 and 9 when the baby is due, so in a similar boat to you. I also got pregnant in 2009 but miscarried at about 6 weeks.
So much has changed since I was pregnant with my daughter, and it's so long ago I really don't remember much about it.

My LMP was the 29th September and I BD'd in the early hours of the 10th, so only CD11 and normally my cycles are around 30 days, so thought there was very little chance of getting pg.

About 5 days later I woke up with an awful headache and slept most of the day. The next day I still had a headache but I'd promised to take the kids out, so we went out (two bus journeys to get to the city, took about an hour), went bowling and to pizza hut and then saw hotel transylvania 2, got the bus home, it took 2 hours to get home, I literally crawled straight into bed at about 5.30 and slept til 8.30pm lol.
That was my first clue I might be pregnant.
I had other symptoms from then on too like my boobs felt bigger and tender and stuff, and I felt more tired than normal, also had a sore throat and a stuffy nose (which I had with my daughter early on), but I wasn't sure if it was just a case of reading too much into things.

I took a test on the 31st October at 4 days late (going by a 28day cycle) and fully expected it to be negative, couldn't believe it when I saw two strong pink lines.
6 days later I took a clearblue digital and it came up pregnant 3+

Really excited now, just hope the next 6 weeks go quicker, I've known for 14 days now and it feels like an eternity!

Wow@Phoenix85 congrats !!! It's really great when you know isn't it ? I was not shocked at all to see "pregnant" written on the test; I had already even booked a doc's appointment for this wed. Yes it's really daunting being prego again after so long .... I just can't wait till baby comes. Well I hope your pregnancy runs smoothly.

Thanks aForest, congrats! I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy too! I calculate my due date to be 22 July but my gp calculates it as 28 July, I can't wait for my midwife to confirm.

Ha you got lucky to see a GP, I called when I discovered the good news only to hear by the receptionist that if I'm healthy and feeling well I just need to fill a self referral at a maternity service and that I don't need to see a doctor
I'm now waiting for a midwife to contact me and I can't wait either!!

Oh wow lol. I was told that it could be 2-6weeks before I am seen by my mw. What my Gp did do was check my bmi and advise on my weight (said I should stay as I am; a challenge when all I do it eat).. And she prescribed folic acid and vitamin D. Vitamin D I need to take until baby is born and I stop breastfeeding. And folic acid to take during the 1st trimester.

Haha I'm feeling really hungry too! I had a preview of Xmas yesterday, we went to an event with a nice dinner and I had to skip half of it: unpasteurized cheeses, food cooked with alcohol or not cooked enough, very hard to resist for a hungry pregnant lady!
