Hello girls - well it's been a shocking week for the girls in Trimester one,

I hope you don't mind but I thought as we are a supportive bunch, we could try something to help us all. I did this almost 2 years ago next week, and it helped us all then - I bet it can again.

Please could you all post a positive thought, favorite quote, comment or saying to lift up the spirits of those in Tri 1 at the moment , and you never know - it might rub off

I shall start us of -

Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.
Willie Nelson

What a lovely idea :)

Dreams come true; without that possibility nature would not incite us to have them.

"The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible."

Winston Churchill

one of my favs is this one ...

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,

It's about dancing in the rain."

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Ladies,

I couldn't have got through Tri 1 without being calm and collected.

I had 3 miscarriages last year and could have easily fallen apart this time around but I decided that my baby needed me strong, happy and healthy!

Touch wood forcing myself to be positive worked - thus far I've had an amazing pregnancy and have loved every second.

Sadly there will always be losses in Tri 1, statistitically x* amount of pregnancies will end is miscarriage (it happened to me last year and the lovely ladies I met in Tri 1 are all 8 months gone now!!)

However unless something terrible does happen, there is no need to stress and worry about what "could" go wrong. This is a special time and you really should cherish it.

xxxxxxxxxx

* I haven't put the actual stat in as that is not condusive to keeping positive!

A few quotes I think sum up my pregnancy journey so far are:

"We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival." - Winston Churchill

"There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about the things which are beyond the power of the will." - Epictetus (55-135)

"I was angered, for I had no shoes. Then I met a man who had no feet"
Chinese Proverb

Oooooh quote, one of my favourite things :)

"The prizes don't always go to the biggest, the best and the strongest - they go to those that persevere" Bear Grylls

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them- Walt Disney

"it's impossible" said pride, "it's risky" said experience, it's pointless" said reason. "Give it a try" whispered the heart...(anon.)

If you're going through hell, keep going- Winston Churchill

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face- Eleanor Roosevelt

Continuing with doobs first Disney quote

For with each dawn, she found new hope that someday, her dreams of happiness would come true. - Cinderella :)
