Morning ladies. I've been having really low down period pains which I would normally put down to BH but these are very low, and are very similar to the growing pains you get in early pregnancy.

I'm not sure whether it's BH, ligament pain due to being a third pregnancy reaching tri 3, or whether it's something else? Little one is moving still, movement is actually getting quite painful for me so I'm also wondering could he be popping in and out, engaging and back out again, and that's causing the pain?

It's becoming daily now, I have the mw next week so am thinking of waiting til then as baby is moving and I've not got any bleeding, plug loss, water loss, etc.

Just not sure what to make of it

Sometimes my BH can feel a bit like period pains. I've also got SPD so sometimes the very bottom of my bump hurts when I move too. Baby's favourite thing to do at the moment is to push its head down and wriggle around so hard that it causes pains!! Haha, hopefully it's all normal but I'd definitely mention it to your midwife :) I take a list with me of ailments or questions to ask every time I see her haha!

I get occasional period type aches in my lower pelvis and upper thighs - like how it feels just before AF shows up or the next day on a heavy flow. Feels like pressure is pushing on my pelvis and thighs, and sometimes I even go to check if AF has actually shown up it's that convincing.
They're not painful, but can be irritating or uncomfortable and can make me worry. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate if it's coming from back pain and radiating around my pelvis..

I mentioned it to the two midwives I saw at my 28 week appointment and both looked confused and couldn't account for it. They said it could be stretching pressure as my stomach is now increasing in size dramatically or could be ligament pain but they didn't seem sure.

I'd mention it to your MW and see what they say, and if it becomes painful or doesn't go away in the next day or if baby's movements seem different/less frequent I'd go and get checked to be safe, but I'm sure you know this!

Hope it passes soon xx

Thanks ladies, will definitely mention it to her. Pain at the top of my legs is also what I get, it's just at that border between being uncomfortable and painful.

It comes multiple times a day and it's really getting me down. Ohh the joys of pregnancy!

I used to get awful pains toward the end. It's a possibility your in the early stages or mid stages of SPD/pgp.

My thighs used to go sore then eventually it was like painful shock waves going down them. Also pelvic weakness pain and back pain. Deffo mention to mw if it is pgp ask for referral to physio perhaps they can get you a support belt.

I had a very painful tri 3 either the SPD or him moving violently or bashing his head into my cervix. The joys lol. A distant memory now though.

I have SPG/PGP and have had it from about 14ish weeks, had it in the other pregnancies too but never had pain like this. It's not a sharp pain but a really dull pain that feels right inside rather than being further out where your muscle walls are. It's a really difficult feeling to describe

Is it that kind of pain where you are aching so much it feels like if you have a little push the baby would just pop a hand or foot out? Lol

No its not that bad fortunately. The closest I can describe it is the stretching pains you get in first trip but slightly more intense. BH are regularly in my back now too, yay

See now I'm typing this I'm getting like a pinching pain right at the front bottom of my uterus.

I have no idea what's going on

I get the deep aching feeling a lot which I thought was SPD - is that what other people feel? X

I have no idea, I've had SPD in both of my previous full term pregnancies and never felt this before
