Ovulation Test

Sorry for the lack of acronyms & short hands - I don't understand most of them!
With regards to an ovulation test, I had a faint line and a strong test line this morning - does this mean I'm ovulation/close/finished?!? They are so confusing! Tempted to get a proper machine :/ they are just cheap strips from Amazon.

The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line for it to be positive. You will get used it all, don't worry. I wouldn't get a machine, they're expensive and tell you the exact same thing. I use the cheapies and once I get a dark line I use the normal (not dual hormone) opks from clearblue to get a smiley. Only use 2 or 3 a month so doesn't work out too expensive xx
