OV Strips

Ok so I said I wasn't going to buy any OV strips because I wanted nature to take it's course but i've caved and i've bought some cheap ebay ones! lol

I think it was seeing my OH really gutted this morning thats made me want to take action over TTC. He was really gutted which really shocked me because he's usually as laid back as me! lol

So once they're delivered i'll be peeing like a crazy woman every day! ha ha Well once my AF shows her ugly face! lol

Thanks Ladies!

I really wnated to be relaxed about TTC and have fun with it and see what happens but I also like to know everything and be in charge (probably comes from being a Childminder and having to be in charge all day lol) which is why i've bought the sticks! I want to know exactly when i'm ovulating! We've decided we'll still BD every night like we did this month but it'll still be nice to know when the important days are lol

I still haven't got my AF yet and it's been 32 days, surely my cycle can't be much longer? Say it's 35 -40 days long will doing the test this morning be too early? Or am I just clutching at straws? ha ha ha

We've also decided that once i'm pregnant i'm not going to go back on the pill after the 1st baby i'm gonna stay off the pill until we've had number 2 and then stay on the pill forever more! Even though there could be a very short age gap between the 2 children the pill has messed my body around so much that we don't want to risk taking it again and waiting ages for my body to go back to normal to concieve number 2! lol

Does all that waffle make any sense? ha ha ha

Yeah Bead I tested first thing this morning and it was BFN.

The thing is this was my first proper cycle after the pill. When I came off the pill I had to wait 50 days for my first AF, this time it's been 32 days so far so god knows how long this cycle will last! lol I think it's just the pill still messing with my body but it's frustrating not knowing whats going on which is why we've bought the OV sticks.

I could still get a BFP this cycle if my cycle was extra long as I may only have ovulate a few days ago lol

I'm going to give it a week and then test again if my AF hasn't arrived.

How long in your cycle do you have left before you test? Also how long have you been TTC?

i was in cerezette and i stopped it in oct and only had af last month so just stick with it you will eventually get bck to normal x

good luck with the opks girls used them for the first time last month and it was great seeing a line so you know your body is working but also strange seeing 2 lines on a test wanting it too be a pregnancy test

This is my first month using OPK, came of cilest in december and had a 50day cycle last month!! Crazy - really thought I had got lucky but just the pill mucking me about. I agree with you guys I dont think I will go back on the pill between children, not worth all the hassle!!

I agree with Louise, this is my first month using OPK's and it's a great feeling when you get a positive one. I got my second today and has cheered me up no end as at least I know I'm on the right track, so good luck with them and here's to your BFP

It's day 33 and still no Af! Grr.

I'm clutching at straws here but i'm hoping my cycle's are really long now and that I only ovulated a few days ago which means testing yesterday was way to early!

It's just annoying getting a BFN and having to sit here waiting for the witch to turn up!

Good job I have some Birthday choccies I got early from by best friend last night to keep me company ha ha ha

Just finished my first month using them too. (Just starting ttc cycle #8 - I thought it was only 7 but realised this week I was 1 out!)

I am thinking if nothing happens this month for me I will invest in some, it is such a minefield but hubby keeps telling me our parents didn't have all this info and to just relax and see what's happened but he is so confident that it will happen first time I am not so!
Was really lucky as came of cileste in Dec and got my cycle back to normal by end of Jan which is good only have a 25 day cycle but as I am not a very patient person I cannot wait for the next 14 days to pass!!
