OUR Positives!!!

Another good day!

* Mhairi only woke once last night at 4.30, and a Mummy cuddle sorted it in a few minutes!

* I went to Glasgow with Mhairi's other Gran to look at prams for her.

* I then came home and went to our local pram centre and got the woman down from £250 to £199!! Gran is chuffed to bits! (I secretly want the new pram, but will work on that later!)

* Had malteaser cake in a nice cafe in Merchant City....yummy!

Hope everyone else had a positive day!

He's always been a good sleeper... he's never woken during the night.. except once a few weeks ago and a few days later he had a tooth!

He used to go to bed at 7pm until a few weeks ago.. then as the weeks have gone on he wants to go earlier.. he'll wake at about 6am for a bottle and a nappy change then go back to sleep til about 7.30am :D He doesnt sleep thru the day much tho.. lucky if he has 30 mins.. but id rather he slept all night than lots thru the day. Iv just been saying to hubby, iv never known a baby like him.. he doesnt cry either.. I dont know what iv done right in my life to deserve him! :)

Does Mhairi not sleep to well??

Does Mhairi not sleep to well??

She does, she goes down at 7, I dreamfeed her at 10 and then she starts stirring at 3:30 - 4:30, so I bring her in with me and try to make her last till 7.

The past week has been a nightmare, but, I think she is cutting her first tooth.

I know things could be a hell of a lot worse, so I'm counting my lucky stars! Just can't imagine going back to a manual job on this little sleep! Hopefully nursery will exhaust her!

I've only just seen this thread - what a great idea Lainey.

Today I managed to motivate myself to invent some games for 3 lively/bored children on their easter holiday (my 2 and their cousin).

* guess the taste game (blindfolded and fed peanut butter, jam, honey, ketchup and salad cream)
* what's under the blanket ( placed random house objects under a blanket and have a feel)
* memory game (looked at objects then i removed one and had to remember which one was missing)
* hide the pony (hid my daughters my-little-pony around the house
* card game (used pack of cards, dealt 3 cards out each, child with biggest total kept all cards, carried on til all pack had gone, child with most cards at end won

this was brilliant and much better than watching tv, playing DS/playstation

another pos from today was i managed to clear all washing up after dinner b4 coming on laptop! :cheer:

I used to do the same as you until about 4 weeks ago when Fynn started 3 meals a day. I used to put him down about 6.30.. and give him a dreamfeed at about 11pm.. but since he's been on 3 meals, I dropped the dreamfeed. He used to stir during the night too.. but I just left him chatter to himself and he would go back off.. Iv never brought him in our bed.

I dont know what Mhairi's food intake is.. but maybe it could be something to do with that??

Yeah, she's only on 2 meals a day, hopefully going up to three next week!

Fingers crossed! She's never been a good eater, so if the three meals a day don't work I might try good-night milk to see if it helps!

Hiya Lainey  glad you had a good day and Mhairi is sleeping better.

Here are mine:

* went for another long walk with Fynn

* my boss came round my house today and had a lovely chat with him

* Fynn has been a good boy again.. making me laugh loads!

* my husband has just gone to bed and made me promise to cuddle into him when I go up (something we always used to do, but have had a lot of problems with each other for a long time.. so something so little means a lot to me) :D

OMG  Iv just noticed Fynn is 6months and 1 day old!! Time has flown by.

Today -

* Got up and ready and make-up on, nice jeans, feelin' GOOD! Mhairi dressed in her lovely outfit and out the house by 9.25 to go to the docs - this is not just a positive, this is a MIRACLE!!!! :rotfl:

* Doc said I have adhesions from my c-section, this might sound like a negative, but believe me, if you were thinking what I've been thinking about these pains then that is good news!

* I got Mhairi's Oilatum on prescription, so that saves me a fortune!

* Went into town after the docs and got lots of lovely food for Mhairi to try.

* Came home to water p*ishing through the kitchen ceiling - another negative I hear you say???? Not when the plumber walked through the door AS it began and fixed it super quick! Anything that's damaged is getting replaced in the over-haul of our house....................now am I good at finding positives or what!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

* I'm just off out to pick up a chinese

I'm getting good at this!!!!!

I met my friend in town and we had lunch

I bought myself a new outfit

I'm pretty much all sorted ready for our weekend away

Jack went to nursery for 2 hours and although it was hard on me he enjoyed himself - so proud of my baby :cheer:

OH has come home and we've just spent last hour playing with Jack and he's been super giggly!

I feel like i've had a fairly good day.

I am away this weekend and back to work on Monday so I hope your positives continue

Stephen and Imogen were being very sweet, stephen told me he loved me without me saying it too him first  :cheer:

Tommo out the kids to bed after me pointing out i alwasy so it

I got my kitchen immaculate

Ooooo almost forgot to post today!

Mrs T, of course you are welcome!

Not a very positive day, I've b*ggered my neck and the pain killers just ain't doing the job! But I suppose a positive of that is that in the past, when my neck has gone, I've layin down to it, gone to bed, mad on tramadol and just drifted in and out of a drug fueled stupor! But when you are on your own, and you have a wee one, there is NO chance of that. I took ibuprofen and paracetamol (can't take tramadol AND function as a human being at the same time!) and just got on with it! I'm only now in real pain since Mhairi went to bed!

So, anyways, on with the positives!

* We got up and went shopping, got all the food for the next week

* I paid the paper bill (12 weeks worth  ) so my name is out the window! :rotfl:

* I bought a new TV!!!

* Mhairi had a good day and we had lots of cuddles and giggles

Hope everyone else had a good day too!
