Haha I totally dont mind this thread has gone off topic, its been an interesting read. I was venting, and I've had some nice support in the form of other people either experiencing this and finding it annoying, or sympathising with me. Thanks very much everyone!

No... we dont go over there very often so its not a problem most of the time! I'd recently been over there when I posted the thread and was feeling hormonal too
I am going over there this weekend though, so lets hope its not too bad. Just going to avoid while im pregnant, and when the baby arrives, if my MIL wants to have baby for the day or whatever I'll just bring it up with her then and say im not happy about people smoking around the baby... xx
