OPK driving me mad

Ok so this OPK obsession is already driving me insane!

Been googling allsorts and get different answers just wanted some clarification

CB says use FMU but what is the best time to do an OPK strip? I know everyone is different but I only get a faint line with FMU then nothing on an afternoon/evening.

How long do you not have a wee for before testing? I really can't hold it in for 4 hours as I've read somewhere.

Does the line have to be darker? I have no lines up until possible ovualtion then faint lines for 3 days then nothing.

and I've never heard that it's good to use FMU on OPKs either but actually the opposite - that you shouldn't.

Most people test twice a day (if they can), once in the afternoon and then again late evening. I think a 2 hour hold is good enough, always worked for me anyway.

The line is meant to be dark for it to be positive yes. If you've only been testing in the mornings chance is you've missed the positive.

I've been testing in the afternoon but dont even get a line whereas in the morning I do.

2hrs sounds good to me as I do need my cups of tea at work

The CB one is supposed to be used with FMU but the cheapies aren't.

What sensitivity are your cheapies? I use 20miu because the 30miu or higher ones never go positive for me as my LH doesn't surge high enough for them. Always get a positive on the 20's though (at the same time I get a solid smiley on the CB).

It may just be that the ones you have aren't sensitive enough hun.
