Well after another disasterous trip to the supermarket with my beloved son who screamed his lungs out round Tesco for 80% of the time there, I have decided to admit defeat and get my shopping online from now on...

Can anyone recommend who is the best for online shopping? Is it easy to set up? I've avoided it like the plague til now cos im convinced it will take ages to set up..

and handy hints would be greatly appreciated. :D

I always do it online :)

Much easier than trailing round the shops with a LO that screams "Pooh", "Tiger" or "Dora" whenever she sees any of them on biscuits etc.

I have an account with Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco and just use whichever one I have money off codes for.

If you look in the bargain section just now Urchin has posted some good money off codes for Tesco

Yep they are quite easy to use once you register....I sometimes use Tesco, but I prefer Asda for offers etc!

Its great being able to sit on your bum and get shopping brought to ya  I love it 8)

I sometimes use it but only when I really need to as I like to choose the best dates or the stuff that looks the freshist, but it can be useful when you are stuck.

I have just started using it again, as I hate food shopping and it is too stressful with Ella.

It is really easy to set up, I use Tesco or Sainsburys. I prefer Tesco as they are cheaper, but they give a 2 hr delivery slot and nothing if they are late. Sainsburys give 1 hr and £10 off your nxt shop if they are late. As Tesco were 20 mins late this week I have gone top Sainsburys for nxt week!

Once you have done it once you get a list of your favourites/usuals and you can just shop from that and then add extras for each week. I tend to start mine about a week before, check it out and then go back and amend it a couple of days before for all the things we have run out of/I have forgotten.

i use ocado and tesco - no complaints about either so far :)

they both let you save your shopping list so its only the first online shop that takes time; if latter orders are similar they can just take a couple of minutes to do. MUCH easier than trawling round the supermarket if you/baby aren't in the mood...

thanks ladies! Well Im gonna brave it and give it a go.

Think I will try Tesco first as thats where i normally shop and know which of their own products i like.

Cheers!

We have no choice here apart from Tesco as the other stores are too far or small to deliver.

I have been happy with Tesco so far and they are always early :o

make sure you use a tesco discount code ( I have been posting them in the shopping section)

I generally get about a tenner off my shop!
I always use tesco and its always been fine.

And don't forget, that if you use your clubcard, all of the things you normally buy will be automatically stored online. Big Brother! lol :)

The only problem I've found with Sainsburys is out of stock items, Tesco's and Ocado's send deliveries from a central warehouse so can usually tell you what is or isn't in stock but Sainsbury's deliver from large local stores and you won't know what they didn't have in stock until delivery, they will substitute out of stock items but I usually turn that option off as I rarely want what they're substituting with (I'm very fussy :) )

For fresh items like meat and veg, sainsburys used to guarantee to pick the item with the furthest away use by date, I think ocado do to, not sure about tesco's?

We have a Tesco shop every week to 10 days (I don't drive and G hates shopping  )

It's cheaper cause you only but what you need. When I add extras I generally have a while to think about it, and delete all those luxuries I pile on when I've PMT. It's good for meal planning and we nearly always find a discount code. I've a £100 or so worth in club card vouchers as well. That's only since Christmas and I don't try hard for them.

The delivery costs have come down but it's still best to book a bit earlier for the best deals.
