Again, depends on the system, but usually yes especially if you can contact her directly. Sometimes she will give you the date herself, sometimes the hospital will send it through. They gave me three days notice for mine, had started to think I wasn't going to get one! as they have to talk you through it if you're getting a nuchal translucency scan. But if you're allowed to contact the midwife directly she'll be able to tell you the procedure in your area - in fact your GP's receptionist shoudl be able to, to be honest. Good luck!

You are about 15 weeks right, how big are you? Are you showing yet? because am due to get married at about 15 weeks and hope to not be showing too much although have put on a lot of weight already. do you think it would be concealable with a wedding dress?

Is it your first hon? Cos if so, you should be fine. You might be showing by then, but it's unlikely to be significant, especially if you've gone for an empire line dress or at least one that flares out over your lower stomach and hips. A lot depends on what size you are normally, and just on you to be honest - everyone seems to be different! but most first time mums haven't got a real bump at that stage. I don't consider myself to be showing, I have got a kind of bump, but to most people it'd just look like I'd put on a bit of weight, but then I'm not small to begin with. But I reckon in my wedding dress, which was fitted over the bust and nipped in underneath and then flared out from waist-ish, I'd still be fine, although I might have had to have it taken out! Check out the tummy pics thread in tri 2 for reference, but bear in mind a lot of the girls on there have had kids already so are showing a lot earlier - you can usually tell from their tickers - so try and look just at the other first-timers to get a better idea.

yep tis my first disregarding my previous miscarriage at 12 weeks , but I was not showing much back then. I have put on a fair bit of weight since then anyway, I bought my dress yesterday and they are going to alter it for me so hope it will be fine. will let you know!

Hi I just joined today, My lil one is due 15 October I have 2 girls already (11 and 7) so quite an age gap, but that means lil helpers lol .
