My midwife said that I'm the end of september the begining of october so i have a hand in both. I like how she said...... 29th sept but I think more like the 25th sept.... although we shall keep 3rd of oct on your notes.

I am due on the 6th October first baby so very excited!

The nausea is horrible all the time, but worth it in the end I suppose. Had a scare last week, but ultrasound showed everything is ok thankfully.

Hi Kitten!

I haven't had any appointments yet! I had an endometriotic cyst drained from my left ovary last January and have been told to ask for an early scan as I'm at risk for ectopic pregnancies, so I'm hoping the doctor will send me for that on Monday. If not, I think I'll get a private one, just to make sure. I'm pretty worried but trying to be positive! I keep talking to the 'bean' inside my head, telling him to stay with me!! Is that silly? He hasn't even got ears yet so how is he going to hear me?!!?

hey, do I have to see my GP before I see a midwife. I havent seen him yet because I missed an appointment (did call, im a good patient!) and they dont have any pre booked ones till march. What does the doctor do when u first go anyway ? is it necessary, or could I see a middwife or nurse? I am already taking some pre natal vits and folic acid. for October babies!

Depends on the system round your way, might be that the GP has to refer you, they did me, though that's about all they do at the appt apart from check your bp and give you folic acid prescription. Ring your surgery and ask them if you're allowed to contact the midwife direct, lots of places you are and then you can just book in with her instead.
