****** October 2018 Mummies! ******

Kazz & CG what are your anticipated DDs so that I can update the front page.

x

Mine is 3rd October according to NHS due date calculator.

I have had some cramping (initially thiught I was going to come on but did a test anyway on day that would have come on), some mild nausea and last couple of days had painful breasts!!

We have a small list of names that we’ve put together over the years even though we weren’t trying. Haven’t got a definite yet though! We will probably go with an Irish name as my hubbys family are Irish and we both like Irish names. I do like the name willow as well though but hubs doesn’t like it! He says it’s cause he used to fancy willow in buggy the vampire slayer so thinks it would be weird calling our kid willow!

Are any of you thinking about finding out the sex? We’re still undecided

We definitely want to know, but don’t want to push gender stereotypes. Also we are buying neutral things in case gender is wrong in scan (which does happen).

That’s what worries me! I feel like even if I found out I wouldn’t believe them until the baby was born! We wouldn’t buy all pink or all blue either and mostly will buy stuff both can wear. I think we will decide nearer the time if we want to find out or not

We’ll definitely find out. And whatever we’re having will be in boys clothes as I’ve kept all my sons stuff.

Names are so so exciting - we are thinking of Axl or Ezra for a boy and Harper for a girl! It’s so bloody exciting ain’t it!!!!

Ooh Ezra. I really like that. Does it mean something?

I’m going to keep my eye on the Feb testing group to see who might join us!

Day after me Yaay

Ezra is beautiful :D . In my husbands home country Axl (Axel or Aksel) is a top 10 baby name so we probably wont use it, but it's also very nice.

On the Baby Centre app I’ve been told my baby is the size of a poppy seed. Amazing! :D

In two days mine will be a sesame seed  so amazingly tiny, but with all that's needed to create life.

Already excited for my first scan, I hope I can get one early (like week 8).

Hey ladies thread jumping
Tara my oh was convinced we was having a girl too from day one and he really wanted it to be a girl in fact from day one we said we would call her Willow if it was a girl but could never agree on a boys name when we had the private gender scan at 16 weeks I was so scared they would say boy as my oh was still adamant it was a girl and I knew how gutted he would of been but he was right we are having a little girl so your oh may well be right :-) our 20 week scan confirmed it’s still a girl xx

Have you agreed on a boys name? We couldn’t at all. I like Harper it’s a lovely name Willow is a fab name ;-)
We went on google and typed in gender scans around us and quite a few popped up so we went for cheapest which was actually nearest to us, it cost us £60 and we did it with a company called window through the womb, couldn’t fault it we are even looking at going for a 4d scan with them in next few weeks. With these you actually get a peek at looking at your baby in 4d and they give you a photo for it which is Willow in my profile pic at 16 weeks, you also get 4 photos free with it and they give you option to buy other things we spent another £30 and got a lovely giraffe teddy with her heartbeat saved in it :-) we got a 10 min dvd of her too and a photo frame saying it’s a girl and some pink booties your in there a good 30 mins well worth it xx

That sounds amazing holli. I wanted to do that last time but my husband said no as he only wanted our baby exposed to the minimum number of scans. Doubt he’d say yes this time either!
