October 2017 mummies :-)

I'm sure everything is fine and baby is being lazy, but if you're really worried I would call the midwife or hosp. My midwife told me not to rely on a Doppler, esp as we aren't trained to understand them. I don't want to worry you, like I said I'm sure all is ok. Let us know xx

Well just had my midwife appt - nothing speculater really, she listened to the heartbeat, and done usual bits. Wouldn't measure me though, said it's too early...oh, had my whooping cough injection before, and she gave me my matb1 form too.

They emphasised a lot about not using Dopplers at home as she showed me the blood flow to the placenta and then the heartbeat. I don't really use mine since she has started kicking, but I'm pretty sure I know what the heartbeat sounds like so won't be putting it back in the box just yet! It's seems to be all about the movements, which is fine, but then I unnecessarily worry about if she is moving enough. I'm finding it hard to pick up a pattern - I work shifts (not nights at the mo, thank god!), so my routine can vary.

Morning all,

Anyone suffering with hayfever that can tell me what I can take? I forgot to ask the midwife on Tuesday!

How is everyone feeling, when do we move to tri-3 is it 28 weeks?

Not feeling brilliant today, had an awful night sleep and he isn't moving around as much so I have just been and got an ice cold drink to see if that perks him up, am fed up of the constant worry that comes with being pregnant, its meant to be a happy time :( x

Well I can relate flick, I have been worried all day yesterday that he wasn't moving as much, naughty babies! He started moving at some point and was more active in the evening.

I haven't been using the doppler since he started moving either, yesterday by the time I got home he started to move and I did not use it in the end. Hope he is happy and well in there and he is just lazy. But it is hard not to worry isn't it.

Tri 3 should start from 27 weeks as far as I know.

A lot cooler today and feeling much better, my appt with the midwife is on Monday so I will mention about feet sweeling a lot and in the same time I breathe much harder and those are the times when baby doesn't move as much, I do believe is my bp going up at times .

Finally Friday, it is harder and harder to go to work really ..

x

I know what you mean although reading the July mums thread (am obsessed) they are all bored on maternity leave! I feel like I am in work and there is so much I could be doing at home, plus I am physically exhausted, I drive 40 miles each way to work and it has really started to drain me? I work from home on a Thursday and I find am having an afternoon nap! Just need one when am in the office too!

I too am struggling with the old swollen ankles! I was run over 3 years ago and it broke my ankle which they didn't pick up on xray until the physio sent me back for a second xray and by then the bone had regrown around the fracture, so I can have it rebroken but not ideal when pregnant! So it swells, a lot, which is a concern as with the added weight it could just buckle on its own, am hoping it won't of course!!

My midwife told me he is lying across my stomach now, but the movements I feel are (and this is going to sound odd) right above my lady bits ..... like a flutter there, does that make any sense? so if he is lying across surely I would feel something at the side not in the middle and low down?

Am tired and confused :(

Well thank god that's another working week done. I am looking forward to doing absolutely nothing this weekend. Might try and get into a boxset and sort out the baby clothes I have, but that's it. I've been suffering since Tuesday with really painful feet, like I'm getting too heavy for them. I'm sure the heat didn't help, so I want to keep off them this weekend and se if they get better. Got myself some insoles too.

I have a naughty baby too. Sometimes she's really active and other times she's quiet for ages. I'm trying to not worry, but its hard. But then when I wonder whether to call or not she gives a tiny, reassuring kick. I hope she starts moving more over the coming weeks and I don't have this worry for 3.5 months!

Sorry I cant help on the hay fever front Flick- fortunately I don't suffer with it. I have seen apps and websites that say 26 or 27 weeks for tri 3. I think I'll wait for 27 weeks as I have mentally told myself that that's when it will get harder! I'm not sure on the movement thing either. I would have thought the same as you, but who knows. When I went for my 22 week scan all she said was baby was breech at that time. I've been feeling pokes quite low down but also some quite strong ones up near my belly button. The other day there was a really hard bit poking out by my belly button that I thought could be a head or bum. But I have no reference point for any of this so could have been anything. xx

Hi guys! Just been catching up on what I've missed.

I think tri3 is once we hit 27 weeks. 8 days left for me till 27 weeks! Can't believe it'll be the July thread announcing births soon...time to start stalking their thread for announcements.

I've started getting pressure/pain in my ribs which is uncomfortable and my lungs have started to get squashed as breathing capacity is becoming less. Full term is going to be fun :( Also like Allysa I had bad pains while I was away and I've had some today, this is something else I am becoming used to. Although I know it could be a lot worse as some women suffer with SPD, sickness and blood pressure problems...so I can't moan too much.

I hope you're all well and haven't been too uncomfortable in this heat. I was in 43 degrees in Antalya yesterday which was nice....I'm back in london and it's currently 20 degrees and I am struggling :(

25 weeks for me today!

I had a nice week-end with an active baby. Managed to see for the first time my whole tummy moving which was amazing , can't wait for him to get bigger . Olivia my ribs hurt as well, I do think he is doing something unde my left ribs as I had a lot of pain yesterday and today. Getting breathless at times as well. Can't complain about the weather it s been around 20 degress , nice and cool and my ankles are legs are perfect! Spent all day looking for furniture, we are finally moving into our house next week and we need to buy furniture for the whole house, I am so glad it happened now and not later .

Yep July babies are next, I am as well reading the thread :) Yesterday been watching some videos with babies born at 25 weeks.. my husband says i am crazy .

Well weekend is gone now and back to work from tomorrow:( midwife appt at 10 am, hope my bp will be all right :D

How is everyone?

xx

I'm not sure to be honest. A load of stuff I've read say they shouldn't be too frequent or painful at the mo. If they're excruciating and/or you're worried I'd call someone. Make sure you rest up and drink a lot as they say dehydration can make them worse. I hope you feel better soon x

Thankfully I am better already x , I had about 3 one after another and they stopped. So relieved... I will definitely mention to the midwife tomorrow . I changed positions and drank a lot of water . Hope that was all for tonight as I hope to get some sleep .

I have had some uncomfortable BH but also some really painful ones which almost make me cry - which makes me very nervous about labour if I struggle at these!!!!

Had on/off rib pain/ache/burning if this makes any sense. Getting a bit nervous about tri3 now....everything is becoming more real and scary! eeek :)

We have a very active baby who loves to wriggle around and kick when we play music which is fun. Also how does your belly feel from the outside? Mine is always rock hard and I was wondering if this was unusual? As someone touched my belly and said it must be a big baby as my bump is so round and hard...Just curious as I know baby still has a lot of growing to do and I'm already very big! I'll see if I can post a bump picture tomorrow

Good luck at your appointment tomorrow Allysa, hope everything goes well. My next appointment is the 11th of July and that's when I will start being measured.

Morning
I am so tired this morning. Feel like I spent all night trying, and failing, to get comfortable. For some reason my cat hs taken to wanting to sleep against me as well, so it must be annoying him as much as it is me. And then I woke up with cramp. Urgh.

I had a very active baby this weekend too, I hope it continues but chances are with me be busy in the week I wont notice it and then I'll get woried again. I'm 25 weeks today so got my MW appt tomorrow. Interested to see if they measure me. On the NHS website it says they do from now, but it mist be different in different areas.

My belly is still very odd. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning its Ike baby has disappeared because its kind of fallen into me. But then as soon as I get up its like 'hello bump'. Throughout the day it keeps growing and I start waddling. I'm going to try and remember to take a bump pic later as I haven't for ages.

Pleased you're feeling better Allysa. I've not had any painful ones yet so I'm really not looking forward to that. And I agree with you Olivia about tri 3. In my head that's when things will get really real and much more awkward.

Have a good day xx

Morning ladies,

Happy 25 weeks Amy x

I did not get any sleep last night.. I kept on having tightening s and ache all around my bump/ heartburn and baby was active all night. Almost felt asleep at 4 am and the baby started kicking so much and was awake until the morning :(. I probably look like a zombie. So glad I have midwife today so she can assure me if the baby is fine, he was never as active. Maybe they will start from now ? I start to get really scared about tri 3 and labor as well, if some false contractions make me cry labor will be at least fun so keep it on a positive line .

x

Aww, lovely bump! And can't wait for my travel system to come, just so I can walk around my garden with it, get used to pushing a pram again!
I braxton hicks last night too - only one, and I only seem to get them in bed at night, never had them with my first so it's all a bit new to me...

I've got a friend whose baby was due October last year, but she was born around 25 weeks and is coming up to her 1st bday....she has so many problems bless her little socks, but proved all the docs wrong. I'm just terrified I will go into early labour, no idea why! Oh, and now terrified about the whole movement thing. Downloaded the kicks count app, and you basically log a 'session' of movement, rather than individual kicks. It's difficult to remember to log it, but it shows what times you do it, so I'm trying to do it.

99 days to go! This was my last bump pic!

I haven't got much bigger but my bump has got harder and more round and sticky out than it was before if that makes sense. I've had the rib cage pain, it's sort of like a stingy sensitive feeling around the ribs? I think it's to do with the skin stretching and stuff there, with my first it was awful coz he kept getting his feet stuck around my ribs blergh.

Here's my 23+4 bump, I think it's quite small but my belly button has flattened out a lot so it'll probably pop out soon yay haha.

My belly button is like a black hole, it is suddenly huge :( and my partner pointed out my stretch marks the weekend, not in a horrible way but has made me feel selfconcious :( x
