October 2017 mummies :-)

Nice bumps ladies ! I will update mine later on.

My belly button is on the inside do I don't think it will pop out, I have the linea negra which is getting darker . I don't have stretch marks but a lot of veins instead on my bump but I would't care much if I would have. Currently using an Avene cream and some bio oil occasionally for moisturizing my bump.

Midwife appt done, it took about 10-15 minutes. Quick as usual and of course a different midwife. Bp was , urine was clear , she measured my bump and said 27 cm and all right , don't know what is really means. She did not listen to the heartbeat, said the fact that is moving is enough . I told her about the Braxton hicks and the pain which I get with them and she told me if the pain becomes unbearable to just call the hospital.
I will have my bloods done at 27 weeks and on 17th July next appt. She asked me to do my whooping cough vaccine, to be honest none of the midwife told me until now that I have to do it! They don't do the Lucozade test anymone, she told me if my parents are not diabetics I am not at risk.

Such a busy day today... and weather is getting warmer again

Have a good day x

Excellent pictures and bumps ladies, and thanks for giving me the motivation to take a picture before I just changed into my sweats and collapsed on the sofa with biscuits!

Appointment sounds like it all went fine Allysa so that's good, shame about the lack of sleep though.
I'm looking forward to my appointment tomorrow as I have a few questions to ask. And it means I get a bit of a lie in in the morning- well, if I manage to sleep that is.
My belly button got really big as my tummy stretched. It now seems to be getting smaller as the bottom of it is getting a bit closer to the surface. I'm not sure if it will pop or just flatten out. The guys at work are hoping it pops out at work with a really loud pop! I haven't noticed any stretch marks yet but I'm not really inspecting that much, if they happen they happen. I don't mind getting them but I don't want to get upset if I'm in a low mood and spot them (if that makes sense). I am using a lot of moisturising lotion- Avon intensive body butter and the Palmer stretch mark lotion.

I'm finding I get really uncomfortable at sitting at work after I've had my lunch. I make sure I don't have too much, but it feels like everything is getting crushed together. I usually have to go on a little walk and stretch it out.

I can't wait to get our travel system. However it had a really long delivery time on it so not expecting it til I'm 31-35 weeks. The car seat is due in a few weeks though. x

I haven't taken a bump pic for a while! Although we did get some professional photos done while we were away. I'll upload one or two when I get the chance.

Great news about appointment going well Allysa.

I am getting a lot more aches. Back aches, Rib aches, period like pains in the evening. Feeling very rubbish at the moment :(

My tommee tippee prep machine turned up today :D will take a proper look at it tomorrow. We now have all the feeding and changing stuff. Need to pick up a few more bits then we are done with clothing.

When are you thinking of packing hospital bag? I keep thinking about it but maybe it's a bit too early....

Morning all,

So had a bit of a scare yesterday, I hadn't felt him moving since the morning but I only really noticed when I finally sat down at 7 last night? I had been stuck in traffic for 2 hours then mad dash to get tea sorted, drop off to scouts, wash up, wash load on etc etc and am hoping it was just that I was so busy I didn't notice! But I did the doppler and the heart beat was there but very faint? so as I was in panic mode but was the only one in the house with two kids there was nothing I could do but lie down and hope, then at 11.22 last night he finally started to kick but it still doesn't seem as strong as it was, but am not sure if am just being paranoid?? x

My friends waters broke yesterday, she is due 15th July and had been told if she was going full term her baby would be over 11lb as he was already 7lb 14oz (although am not sure how correct these are as some people have been told they would have massive babies and ended up with teeny tiny ones!!)

Hospital bag wise, I am going to sort mine when I get back from holiday, we go 4 weeks tomorrow so then when I get back and the case is empty I will start to prep the bag so I know what I am missing x

OMG- I slept for 9.5hrs straight through. It was amazing!

Flick- I'm sure baby was just being rocked to sleep by you all day and when it moved you were too busy to notice. I know first hand though its really scary when you realise you haven't felt them for a while. Mine was having on and off days the last few weeks and really worrying me. Keep an eye on it today and I hope baby is kicking away.

Exciting about you friends baby. These size predictions worry me. My friend got told her boy would be 6+lbs and he was 8+lb.

I've been reading up about maternity bags. Seems like we need to take loads. It will look like I'm moving in! I will probably start getting things together after 30weeks, but start acquiring things as I see them. Was in Primark a few weeks ago so bought a big nighty thinking it might do me for labour or late pregnancy. I'll give it a few weeks and think about a list. Will be pestering you all for ideas of what I need xx

Well me being the 'excel list queen' I have my full list of baby things with a seperate sheet for hospital bag items :) I keep adding to it as and when but am more than happy to share if people want to look? x

Oh, yes please x

Here you go, if anyone thinks of anything I am missing shout up, some of the stuff is just a nice to have or a potential but tried to think of everything!! Wouldn't let me upload excel so had to save as a picture!! x

Great list.

My appointment went well. They don't measure where I am until 28 weeks- boo. But I did get to hear the heartbeat again so that was good. Everything was OK and I got told that baby was transverse at the time. My MW said she'll give me the contact details for the NHS antenatal appointments at my 28 week check and I can book them then. She said they start from approx 32 weeks.

Next appointment is booked for 18th July. I can't believe it will soon be July!

Hope everyone is feeling well and having a good day x

26 weeks today :)

Great list :)

Good to hear appointment went well Amy

Just ordered our travel system :) gone for the uberchild MOTO it works out £700 cheaper than the Silver Cross we were going for! So it's a big saving. Only thing is delivery isn't until September 15th :( hopefully baby stays inside till after then!!

98 days to go....countdown begins :)

Morning all,

I have managed to get onto a two part ante natal course but am still trying to get onto the hospital led one! When I had Jackson (11 years ago) we had weekly classes and a hospital tour etc but doesn't seem like they do that anymore, well not around here anyway?

26 weeks today :)

Yey, Congrats on 26 weeks today ladies!

Great list , Flick! I was planning to write it down and start packing after 30 weeks, there is still a bit a time. How are the movements now ?

I am very busy at the moment furnishing the house, yesterday I realized we have to paint all rooms walls as well , hopefully we will manage to move in until end of next week because I am really excited to buy furniture for the nursery :D

I am jealous on you Amy to get so much sleep, usually I wake up at least 3 times to go to the loo and baby is up each time and kicking for another good period. It is hard to see his pattern but I noticed he is up mornings and evenings more, in the afternoon he tend to be quiet as I am working and busy.
Feeling so heavy at the moment, my back start to ache a lot.

The midwife did not told me the position of the baby :( She just mentioned don't worry about baby's position until 33 weeks from which I guess he is not head down atm.

x

Yeah I am getting up through the night and seems to be his trigger for kicking which is brilliant but also exhausting! Is anyone else really struggling to find a comfy position to sleep in, it seems my comfy positions are not his and he gives me a good kicking until I move but then I am not comfy, and am always waking up on my back!!

I hope the move goes well, can't imagine having that stress on top of pregnancy, I had that last Sept, was a nightmare with exchanging contracts but had been a 12 month headache with houses falling through, selling, moving to storage etc so am keeping my fingers crossed the move goes smoothly for you :) x

Thank you :D x, we have started the process in February and yesterday got the keys for the new house. I am indeed very busy , I think I only ate take away and sandwiches for the last week :( On the other hand I am happy it happened now and not later when I will be bigger and more tired!

I am mostly sleeping on my left side but sometimes waking up on my back! I am really uncomfortable though, it is time to buy a pregnancy pillow as I completely forgot about it!

I have a pregnancy pillow but seems to do nothing for me! Just feel like whatever position used to be my comfy position is a no go for him and he lets me know, but don't want to sleep on my back as thats bad for the baby but that is how I keep waking up!

Thought of another thing to add to the list, a little bit ambitious as we will more than likely be busy, but I took a pack of cards when I had Jackson, once I had my epidural and was just waiting for things to progress it was quite good as we played cards for a few hours ha!! x

I've been sleeping on my right side, when I wake up my hip is all red and sore from me sleeping on it. Must be the extra weight on it and the fact I'm normally a belly sleeper.

I'll probably get a small hospital bag ready for about 28 weeks, just for myself because last time I went in for reduced movement and staffing meant I was in overnight even though everything was fine. Just things like a toothbrush, toothpaste and a change of underwear and pjs. I've been admitted to hospital before unexpectedly and my OH brought me in clothes and underwear that where erm... questionable :/ x

Yeah, that is a good tip for first time moms, I will pack a small hospital bag just in case. You never know!

I jinxed myself. Last night was terrible sleep wise. I feel like I was awake most of the night. I was awake from 0430 and on the train at 0630. Only good thing is I got to finish early. I just couldn't get comfortable last night at all, it was so frustrating. Saying that I still love my pregnancy pillow. I think without that I wouldn't sleep at all.

Baby has been really active today. Its weird, just plodding on at work and feeling her moving around, like a lovely little private thing that no-one can see.

Good idea on the bag digital. I'll have a think. My OH isn't home for a while so would be good to have something in case my mum needed to pop in for a bag. She'd have no idea where anything was.

Least the moves all going ahead now Allysa and giving you time to get sorted. It will probably make the next few weeks fly by, and at least it might tire you out so you sleep loads x

Who else was it that had an anterior placenta? I've been feeling so underwhelmed with kicks and movements :( I rarely feel anything, baby gets a bit more active at night but sometimes if I sleep earlier I completely miss that too.

Aw Amy I feel for you not getting much sleep, I've had a couple nights of pregnancy insomnia where I literally sat in bed til 5am then my alarm goes off at 6. Fingers crossed you're exhausted enough to sleep right through tonight x
