October 2017 mummies :-)

I have an anterior placenta too...I havent been told that specifically, but it's in my notes.
I'm getting a bit worked up about the whole movement thing, sometimes she can so active, it literally hurts and distracts me from doing anything else. The past couple of days she has been quieter, and sometimes I have to eat or drink something to get her moving again.
They push the movement thing so much I think I've gone the other way and it's now something else for me to worry about!
I even downloaded the kick count app, so I can record the sessions, but then today I've had fewer sessions, so been worrying about that - argh!
X

It must be so difficult to not have the reassurance of movements due to the anterior placenta. Do you feel movements inside and not many big outside kicks, or does it mask most of the movement? Is there a chance it can rise up during pregnancy, like a low lying one can, so you might feel more later? Sorry if that's a stupid question, I have no idea.

Managed a fairly ok night of sleep with only one wee wake up. I'm counting that as a success x

Well last night I was more awake than sleeping arghh. My husband came after night shift at 4 am and find me wide awake, then close my eyes for a bit and the alarm went on at 6 am .

It must be hard to trace movements with an anterior placenta, maybe ask for more info from midwife/hospital. Mine is posterior but I heard the midwife saying it it quite low but still ok. Don't really know what it means. His movements are now much more strong as the kicks , but still is hard to have a pattern as he is active whenever he wants to.

Today I am half day at work then off to look for more furniture and stuff

xx

I have an anterior placenta! When I first started feeling movements it was only low down. But now I can feel kicks high up which is nice as I never thought I would :) this little monkey is very active and has just started kicking as I write this!

I finally started to clear out the spare room (will eventually be baby's room) need to get OH to move some things into the loft and somehow move our gym equipment to downstairs. Decorators and builders will be here from the 5th of August and then the roof has to be redone. Will have to clear everything out by then. I've done 2/ 7 rooms so far. Can't wait till everything's done :)

Don't know if anyone saw that Mothercare is having another sale. The silver cross pioneer now comes with a free car seat (saving £150) and we are attending a parenting event on Sunday and will be given 10% off (saving another £75) so I can get the entire travel system for £675. Just when we have made our minds up to go with uberchild this offer came up and has completely confused me as what to do!! Typical. But do check out the sale! Cot mattress 50% off and more

Oooh I've been looking at the pioneer, I'll have to get into a store soon and check it out. There's a good deal on the silver cross surf 3 as well, if you add the base pack, car seat and a colour pack (chilli or raspberry) to your basket you get it all for 665 which is really good!

I have the silvercross wayfarer, I ordered it originally and it was £785 but then I noticed the deal with the car seat so I cancelled my order and reordered so it worked out to be £645 x

I have the opportunity to buy the wayfarer second hand from a family friend for 350, she says it's fab condition as she mainly used her car but I don't know if I'll regret not having my own shiny new pram hmmm. X

I'm so annoyed. Had an email from kiddicare to tell me that the order I placed is delayed and they cant say how long it will be. It also doesn't tell me if its for the car seat (3-4 week delivery when we ordered) of the frame/buggy/pram bed bit (10-14 weeks for delivery when we ordered) which is not very helpful. I have sent a massively snotty email saying its unacceptable, pointing out that I obviously need them for a certain time and I expect more details or a full refund. The annoying thing is when we went to the shop they had the stuff there but we didn't want to transport home and wanted to move cash around.
Urrrgggghhh, grumpy!!

Morning ladies x

I still did not unpacked my pram! I am awful I know... I will have a look tonight to see if all is in good place as I still have time to return it . Last thing which I need to buy is the car seat and I will take one from Maxi-Cosi .

How annoying Amy, I would be really angry as well. It is not acceptable to say they do not know when it will be delivered, at least they should give a date so at least you know! Hope it will sort out soon x

We have been buying furniture yesterday and got back home at around 9.30 pm after our car almost died on the way back , so another thing we need to change!

How are the babies behaving? Mine had been so good, bless him. He is now moving and kicking all day long, regularly.

Glad is Friday ..x

I forgot about kiddicare!!!! How did I forget kiddicare exists! I really miss our local kiddicare store. Amy, that is bad of them to not give you a delivery date, how frustrating :(

Good to hear you saved £££ on the wayfarer Flick :)

DigitalCity I felt the same about buying the Uberchild...yes it seems like a brilliant deal and good reviews but this is my first and I have fallen in love with the pioneer. Works out we will get the entire travel system for £675, rather than £900.

Allysa, this baby is constantly kicking away and letting us know she is there, which is nice. Last night we went to see Adele live at Wembley which was AMAZING!! And the baby kicked throughout the whole performance, think we have an Adele fan ;)

Ladies, there's a march 2018 thread started!!!!! That means we are almost moving to tri3!!!!!!!

So much for getting a bit of a lie in. Cant decide if I got woken up by needing a wee or by Dave rummaging around. She's gone back to sleep now, typical.

Cant believe we will soon be in tri 3, seems so odd to say that. According to my due date I've only got 100 days to go, crazy. Double figures from tomorrow!

Kiddicare seemed really good but this has really annoyed me. I will give them until Thursday to get back to my email and then I will call and kick off. If they cant confirm a date I will get a refund. Happy to wait a few weeks now for the car seat but the pram might not be delivered until I'm 31-34 weeks and if they then delay that with no new delivery date I will be furious. And I love the pram we chose so I don't want to have to change. Hubby cant work out why I'm getting so annoyed til I know more- 'cos I'm a worrier and hormonal, ok!' Haha.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned. I'm looking after my 1yr old nephew for a bit this morning but apart from that nothing major. Knowing me I'll probably get bored and end up organising something in the house x

Yey 99 days to go ! Sounds unreal, next week I will be in the trim 3 but some of you will be from this week!! Time is definitely flying but end of September can't come fast enough :D

Don't have many plans for this weekend as my husbund is working, just shopping online some things we need for the house ,cooking and some cleaning.I am having awful heartburn from time to time, i think I should take some medicine for it as i can.t take it anymore without. I am not a fan of drugs/pills whatever, usually take something when I have no choice or I can't stand the pain .

We finnaly unpacked our travel system last night! I really like it and my husband liked it too, he said it is so me haha. Bought the black Icandy Strawberry which was 475 on promotion in John Lewis , now I need to order the car seat and done.

x

Baby is super active now. Kicks getting stronger each day. Got a feeling it's going to be a big baby! Went to our local mothercare event today. We have ordered our travel system, cot mattress, moses basket mattress and sheets :) I also picked up a wedge pillow to support my bump while I sleep
..sleeping has become a task :(

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend

Excellent bump Allysa, looking great.
Sounds like you had a productive weekend Olivia. I did very little, but I did get a small grosnug and ordered some Moses basket sheets. Next weekend I'll order a new mattress for it.

26 weeks today and 98 days to go. I cant believe it. Dave's been pretty active this weekend so hopefully she keeps up with it this week.
Have a great day everyone xx

Morning all,

Gorgeous bump Allysa! How was everyones weekend? My little one hasn't been as active but then have been uber busy jet washing the garden, cars, windows etc, then stripping all beds and washing and remaking, dusting and cleaning, think am starting to nest lol! No major purchases this weekend, got to save for the holiday at the moment, only 3 weeks to go and I can't wait for some time off, thankfully the midwife will do my fit to fly so I don't have to pay!

Really snotty today though, not sure if hayfever is back or am getting a cold :(

I have been drinking gaviscon like it is pop, getting bad heartburn with anything! Last time I was pregnant it was red peppers, this time i can't pin point what it is, so figure it must be everything! Got to meet my friends 4 day old baby yesterday, he was so tiny, I forget they are that small lol! xx

I've had quite a hectic weekend, and am feeling it now!
Drove 200 miles to a dog show, but was worth it as my dog qualified for crufts! Proud dog mummy!
Then yesterday took my 6 year old swimming and for lunch with friends, only 45 minute drive away, but it literally killed me! Hoping for a fairly chilled out day (well, food shopping aside!), and back to work tomorrow...

My bump seems to have shrunk a bit, lol! My app says 50% of their energy at the mo is going towards developing the brain, so makes sense that physical growth takes a back seat.
And all my kicks have been really low down, I'm sure she is lying there trying to kick her way out of my cervix, I can properly feel it! I may ask about my placenta at next appointment, coz I'm not feeling much above belly button height. She has been active, I think, but so have I, so who knows.

Flick, how bizarre that red peppers set off your heartburn last time - don't know why I found that amusing, it's just so specific, lol! At least you could easily avoid them, not good that you can't pinpoint it this time
Xx

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow, is that tri 3??
I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet, it means the end is nigh!
X
