October 2017 mummies :-)

Just had the scan and all is still good. They confirmed it is definitely a girl, but we have got in to the habit of calling her baby Dave! As we don't want to share name ideas with anyone until she's born we're going to stick with refering to her as baby Dave. She spent a lot of time asleep, snuggled up and yawning. But she did like having her legs up by her head. OH says she can get out of that habit!

Lea- I'm sure everything is absolutely fine and it might just be a slight irritation from dtd. We haven't dtd since he's been home. I feel a bit bad about it as its been months, but I've just not been in the mood.

I've heard the superstition. When my sis had her boy my mum kept the pram in her garage. I think I will probably keep ours in the garage just to save having it in the house and in the way, but still easily accessible. x

I thought about that and popping it in the garage but am just worried that it will get damaged in their? Plus I would want to put it up and check it is all in working order, am thinking should I just ignore the superstition lol x

Ive always had mine in the house. Dont belive a lot of superstitons though xx

Think I will just brave it, has anyone else been taking weekly bumpy pictures? I am trying to do a diary/photo album for the baby when he is older, show his scan pictures and then how big my tummy was etc? Just wondered if anyone else was doing similar?

Been keeping up with the May mummies on here and noticed that a few of them have been doing diaries so just wondered!

Hi everyone!

Ladybugs I am with you with swollen feet, 2 weeks ago when the weather was a bit warmer I had really swollen feet and ankles and could hardly walk. Thank goodness it lasted a couple of days and back to normal. I try now to walk half an hour every day and tend to be better. Good luck with the scan, update with the gender, I think it is only you left!

I have already bought the Icandy Strawberry 2 Black pram from John Lewis but we have been so busy that we did not unpacked it yet! We bought the cheaper version even tough I liked the Peach ones more but they are way too expensive to we agreed on this one. I checked the uber baby prams and they look so nice! Even spoke with my OH to order it and if it is as good in reality to return the one which we bought already. Difficult decision. My OH still says it is too early for pram and stuff so can't get too excited

Amy Glad to had the chance to see again your little girl Dave :) Good all is well.

Lea, hope you feel better and hope it is just an irritation and nothing more. Are you going to get checked? And what is dtd ?

Lea I'm sure everything is fine in there, I had the same thing happen in my last pregnancy after dtd, put me off it for quite a while!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, looking forward to it but feels weird this will be the last time we'll see the baby until he's born.

I'll be keeping my pram in my house when I get it, I don't believe in the superstitions and I want to push it around my living room haha.

Thanks guys, it seems to have eased off, hoping that's it now, certainty won't be dtd for a bit, poor hubby!! (Stands for Doing the Deed/sex, Allysa). I've got the Doppler thankfully for quick checks, but as usual, this baby seems intent on kicking me, very hard! I had my notes out when I phoned the midwife and according to my 20 week scan, I have an anterior placenta - god knows how hard I would feel the kicks if it wasn't...

I will prob get the pram, put it up in the house (I like the mental image from you digitalcity, pushing it around your living room, lol) and then it will live in the garage anyway.
X

Had confirmation that it is a girl again yay! So had the early gender scan and this one, so must be 100% accurate now.

All fine for the 20 week scan, they are happy with everything. Was quite poorly yesterday and felt really funny so went to the docs. Looks like I may have a bug coming on so was advised to rest when I can.

Luckily my job isn't physically challenging so should be okay taking it easy.

Allysa, my ankles have only just back to normal, it is so nice to see my feet again! I'm so happy with the cooler weather atm.

Flick, I have been taking some bump pictures, on a weekly/ 2 weekly basis atm.

Just looked and the September mummies have created a thread in Tri 3, us next guys :) scary and exciting x

Yay, another confirmed girl!

Yes, we are next in the 3rd trimester. I am so excited and can't wait until it is October ! All night I had nightmares that I went into labour now and went to hospital to medicate me and try to keep my baby in until due date, but everyone in the hospital was busy with buying fresh veg- it was a market inside the hospital. I am surely going nuts with this dreams

Today I am waiting for a delivery, I bought online 3 maxi dresses from Asos and want to check if any of them fits me . We are attending a wedding on Saturday in my hometown where is supposed to be around 30 degrees. On Sunday I have been out shopping but couldn't find anything suitable, everything makes me look like a balloon . I know it's me and not the dress but I do hope I will have some luck today

Rainy days are back in town

Yay, another girl. Great news, but sorry you're not feeling too great ladybugs.

Had a scary 30mins earlier. Hubby and I were walking around Devon and I got really out of breath and started to get a really painful tummy. It felt like cramping pains and really hurt. We got back in the car for my hubby to drive us somewhere for lunch. I just shut my eyes and tried to relax. Got to the pub and I shot into the loo to check for bleeding. Fortunately all was fine and the pain subsided, and I've been feeling 'Dave' move about since. Was petrified for a while though. Now sat relaxing, waiting for a hot tub to cool down and drinking a mocktail.

Pleased you are feeling better Lea. Hopefully no more scares for any of us anymore.
Tri 3 for the Sept group...eek!x

I had my 20 week scan today, everything is looking good. I have an anterior placenta too which I sorta suspected as I haven't felt much.

I think I had braxton hicks whilst out after my scan? I got an awful pressure, cramp pain really low down that lasted about 5 minutes and it made me feel really sick :/ never experienced braxton hicks before so I'm not sure what they feel like?

Great news on the scan.
For the BH did the bottom of your stomach go really hard as well? I find that happens to me. I don't get cramps but it just feels odd. And my tummy sometimes goes pointy too x

Reading all the symptoms look like I had some BH as well. Thought there are just some growing pains .

Glad all went well with the scan digitalcity x I believe no more scans until medical requirement

From tomorrow I am on holiday for a week and a half yey.. I really need some time off work to relax. Found a dress for the wedding as well so all sorted.

I have BH a few times every day! Been happening every day since 18 weeks (23 weeks now) I get a tremendous amount of pressure in my belly and whole bump goes like rock!!

I feel sooo tired! Making the most of sleeping when I can before October! Almost tri3!! I was supposed to have my whooping cough vaccination today but my appointment got cancelled :( 25 week appointment is next Tuesday when I'm 24 weeks. Going fast!!

I ordered some bits today from Mothercare...feel like I'm getting somewhere now :) got everything we need for feeding and got 80% of clothes. We have picked out the travel system and cot, we will buy it in August. Making progress :)

How's everyone feeling????

Flick- I was going to do weekly bump pics but keep forgetting. Might try and remember to get OH to take one on Monday when I'm 23 weeks.

I'm not as tired at the mo, which is good as my sleep seems to be quite broken. Dave was being quite active at 0500 today. I've also not really felt any BH for the last few weeks but I'm not sure if that's cos I've been busier and not noticing them.

We've got a fair amount of stuff now. Been given loads of clothes and a Moses basket. Have a chest of drawers ordered for Monday so once that comes and I can put stuff in it I can check exactly wat we have. Travel system is ordered and cot bed will be at beginning of August. OH is decorating the room so I can order soft furnishings while he's away. Got bottles, steriliser, got a breast pump from my sister. All very exciting. Might try and drag OH into mothercare today as well!

Great news on the dress Allysa, I'm sure you'll look beautiful and glowing x

I won't lie...I've been useless with the bump pictures and pregnancy journal :( I always thought I'd document everything and I intended to....life got in the way :( hope we're not the only ones!

Has anyone found something apart from gav is considered that helps with heartburn???

I keep feeling loads of kicks then yesterday she was quiet and today she is quiet making me worry!!!

The last few days for me have been really quite. I thought it was cos I've been pretty active, but then I wasn't feeling much at all even when I was relaxing. However this morning there's been loads of movement and for much longer than normal. I would try to not worry, but I know first hand its hard. Baby could just be having a lazy few days ladybugs

Fortunately I've not had, or noticed heartburn yet. I know a lot of my friends swear by Rennies (can we take those?)x

Thanks amythomas, I didn't worry before I felt movement and now I feel like im obsessed with it!
