.. October 2016 Mummies - Second Trimester ..

I was a primary school teacher went travelling to Australia then came back and got a job as a project co-ordinator with Education. Not as good pay or hols but much more flexibility. Your job sounds interesting do you enjoy it?

That's really nice your landlord did that for you. Must be a good tenant! :)

Xx

Ha I hope so I just love the house, the thought of moving was putting me in a tizzy. I really love imy job. Im actually a learning disability nurse and specialise in behaviour so went out on a limb to work in dementia care which is a completely different type of nursing but my manager is as daft as I am and saw potential and hired me haha! I just get very frustrated with other nurses and units heavily medicating the elderly for 'behaviour' when its not neededso I feel im doing my bit. Anyway lol. I get very passionate and carried away!

Im sure the flexibility though is great have you a good team to work with?

So I fainted in ASDA tonight. It was super scary and thank God OH was with me and got me sat down before I fell down. Blacked out lying on one of the cafe tables then started panting and perfusely sweating afterwards. Got home had some ice cold pepsi and chilled right out. Had a wee sleep and I'm fine. But I'm going to get checked over once the MWs open on Monday as I have literally been sleeping round the clock. I had a 4hr nap before going to asda so it's not like I was shattered.

Scary stuff I genuinely thought I was going to die lol I'm not a fainter so had no idea what was going on. OH works at asda cafe so got in and got me water too. He probably won't let me go alone now as usually I don't mind popping out at night as asdas 5 mins away.

Baby is still been kicking and pushing my belly out so he's OK lol.

xxxx

Omg Claire hope youre ok! Def gice MW or GP a call to get checked over, esp iron due to tiredness as well. Id have been freaking! Glad baby is kicking away, very reassuring for you im sure. Just get your OH to do everything for next few days and take it easy xx

Oh gosh Claire, how scary. Thank goodness you weren't on your own xxxx

Yay for the rise of team pink lol!! I'm feeling a lot happier today! I was so tired and stressed out yesterday, but my lg slept 12 hours last night (unheard of!) so didn't get up until 7:45!! Oh is away so I'm a bit lonely anyway. I'm so happy we're having a girl, just wish others could be happy too and not say stupid things!! Off to buy some tiny clothes in the sainsburys sale this morning lol xxxx

Glad your ok Claire, I remember when I fainted with my first pregnancy it was scary as I was walking out of a shop and when i opened the door I just fainted, luckily I had my friend with me at the time, scary stuff!!

I can't wait to buy colour, nearly got most of the stuff for baby and my mum is going to order me the Snuzpod nearer my due date which I can't wait for to be in my room, sometimes it still feels so unreal that I'm pregnant X

Claire I hope you're okay! Get your blood pressure checked, it might be low. Must of been a really scary experience.

Claire that is scry glad you and baby ok! What could have caused it?

I have a great team Mac. Sounds like you care about what you do nice to hear that especially with dementia xx

It was really scary because of how quickly it came over me. One minute I just felt sick and needed air then I was passed out pissing of sweat.

I did say to OH that day I felt off. More like weak or lethargic and that's why I had a wee sleep.

Ill deffo get checked out though probably was nothing. Low on food or something as hadn't had my dinner either..

xxxx

I hope you're okay now Claire. I find if I stand still for too long I get faint. I also get a bit grumpier and agitated before I'm about to faint for some reason.

I hate Facebook! I hadn't announced on Facebook yet and my MIL just posted a photo of me with bump and tagged me in it. So now I'm getting messages from friends. I was planning to post a really nice photo this week announcing it :( this isn't the first time she's ruined it for me and I just burst into tears when I saw it.

Thats exactly what happened Debbie. I was standing quite the thing and then felt sick and the self scanner started taking the piss and I'm thinking he'd best hurry before I'm sick I need outside. Just started getting really anxious then just says I really don't feel well. But I don't think OH knew I was gonna faint as had been fine all day just off but not like diZy or anything.

Weird but scary I'm OK now hopefully bloods will show just low iron or it was one of those things.

Much better today not as lethargic I managed some tidying today
Yesterday I had so much to do and kept trying to then just sitting down unmotivated lol.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Hope you feeling ok now claire, scary stuff!

I'm feeling really funny at the moment. I can't shake the feeling that something might still go wrong with my pregnancy, and it will be my fault because I need to look after her and carry her for 9 months! Just love her so much and she isn't even here yet!

To follow up on my bruising, my health visitor said unless I was to have other symptoms such as nose bleeding or a cut that doesn't stop bleeding then she wouldn't worry until I see my midwife on the 5th. Well this morning didn't I have a nose bleed!!! So will be calling my midwife first thing tomorrow morning, won't risk anything for this little princess I want it checked! Also (I know I shouldn't!) but I checked Google and I found a website about Thrombocytopenia, saying symptoms are bleeding that won't stop, bruising easily and a red, bumpy rash. Well I've had a red rash across the front of my throat for about a week now, but didn't think that would be anything atal to do with this?! So 100% making the call tomorrow.

All good other than this though! Xx

Oh no! That's awful. I hope your other half made sure to let her know she'd upset you? Probably a bit late now, but can you untag you?
This sounds exactly like something my MIL would do. At our wedding we specifically requested that no photos from the day were to go on social media until the following week (mainly as we didn't want everyone (her) glued to their phones the whole day). We shared this information on our order of service and also in lots of little slate hearts around our venue. Plus, MIL had already seen our order of service before the day, so was aware of our wishes. When we got to our hotel on our wedding night and finally checked our phones we realised we'd both been tagged in dozens of pictures throughout the day. Even worse, when we got the professional pictures back from the speeches, she can clearly be seen scrolling through her Facebook on her phone. I was so upset that she had done something that we had specifically asked her not to do.

Morning everyone. How are you all? Hope you had a good weekend. I'm full of cold but trying to get over it lol. Got midwife appointment this morning and will mention not feeling movement to her. I'm sure it's nothing but she might be able to reassure me.

On another note, my partner starts his new job today. Really hoping it all goes well as the last 3 weeks has been nerve wracking and stressful not knowing what would happen xx

Hey Hedgehog, in terms of movements, I know how you feel :( I feel like I'm the only one not feeling movements! Probably because it's my first and I can't detect them! I have bought a fetal Doppler though so that definitely put my mind at ease, I've written a review post about it if you wanna check it out, it's definitely helped with my anxiety!

Lovely bump AngelLily! We're all starting to sprout so much! xx

It can depend on placenta position as this can move on the lead up to 20w.

Some have a placenta at the front which limits the sensation of movement.

I am sure youll feel it soon enough.

Yeah my MW said my placenta is right at the front and baby is pushed to the left so that's why I'm not getting a lot of movement (to my knowledge) xx

Honestly lovely, I feel exactly the same, and the sonographer confirmed my placenta is at the back on Friday at my 20wk scan, where baby was very actively kicking and I still couldn't feel!
